Military OBC

We're eligible for the OBC for military personnel. I saw that you can't use it on the casino, gratuity, and select dining. What exactly can we use it on?

It's a simple credit against any debit on your shipboard account and despite that statement it's used for anything. :)

I have not experienced any restrictions using our military benefits, and I cannot imagine how they would differentiate that OBC from any number of OBC sources. I think you can use it any way you see fit.

I neglected to say that because I don't use the casino I don't know whether OBC could be used there or not. :o

No worries. It's the gratuities we're interested in putting it towards, not the casino.

My problem was reminding my wife I had military onboard credit....on our last cruise, 14-day Hawaii.......she spent it all! :)

It can be used anywhere, but in the casino, you use your shipboard account to to activate the slots. Whatever amount you choose to select, will just be deducted from the OBC you have. If you cash out of the casino with money still in the casino account, you get that back in cash.

Agree that you can use it anywhere, though I did not use Casino. My initial account just showed Plus $250 and as we made charges the number came down and then went negative - this we cleared on credit card on final day.

No worries. It's the gratuities we're interested in putting it towards, not the casino.

 

That is how I usually use ours. No problem at all. It is good for ANYTHING you purchase on board. We even used ours for liquor to take home.

Keep in mind that Princess, unlike some other cruise lines , allows you to combine OBC's and they all appear as a credit to your account to spend as you wish.

CCL Shareholder OBC , Princess rate code promo OBC , Travel Agency OBC , Princess Group amenity OBC, Onboard Future Cruise OBC , can all be applied in addition to the Military OBC.

It adds up :D
