jgmpuma Posted May 26, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2014 The former Riverwalk mall has re-opened as an upscale outlet mall. Very impressive. A lot larger and brighter than the old Riverwalk. There is direct access to the Erato Street (Carnival) terminal and the Julia Street (NCL, RCL) terminal. Once again it is a great place to ship-watch (we saw the Dream leave.)

Lynda59 Posted May 26, 2014 #3 Share Posted May 26, 2014 I just went today. Website is: http://www.riverwalkneworleans.com/. The majority of the shops opened on Thursday with a few more stores still opening in the coming weeks. The Carnival Elation was in port today - it should be leaving for a 5 night cruise this afternoon. The Riverwalk has a decent food court on the side closest to the port, but Cafe du Monde is a level lower for those looking for beignets and coffee. The stores were fairly busy today with the Memorial Day holiday and the grand opening events. They do offer a parking discount with a $20 purchase. So looking forward to it. :)
Langley Cruisers Posted May 30, 2014 #7 Share Posted May 30, 2014 ...Cafe du Monde is a level lower for those looking for beignets and coffee... Nice. We certainly couldn't get into the other one - lined up out the door!!!
