I am sailing to St Petersburg next month on the Eclipse & REALLY want to buy a Russian fur hat. I know there is a market next to the Church of Spilled blood,any idea how much a hat would cost?

Not sure if you are a man or women , if you are male you will be able to buy an old school hat from street hawkers when you are in line for the museum and other sites around town . I am sure they are not top grade but the price will be right.

If you take any big tour, there will be vendor for a hat like you want and AC/DC t-shirts. The vendors sell the typical nesting dolls and also the worst tourist 'stuff' you might imagine. Your guide will drop you at one shopping site or another. You can not go shopping alone.

We returned from a river cruise that ended up in St. Petersburg. Right across the street from the Church of the Spilled Blood is a huge market with anything you want.
