Master0396 Posted July 23, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 23, 2014 Hi all, I'm just wondering if they still give the fruity chocolates every night. I was told that on my friends recent Celebrity Century cruise to Alaska, there was none.
Barwick Cruiser Posted July 23, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 23, 2014 Hi all, I'm just wondering if they still give the fruity chocolates every night. I was told that on my friends recent Celebrity Century cruise to Alaska, there was none. On our recent Silhouette cruise in June we had plain chocolates each night on our pillows. No more variety...same one each night.
vulcan1971 Posted July 23, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 23, 2014 The chocolates have changed.... no more of the flavored chocolates. They have been replaced with a Belgian chocolate. Sent from my Samsung Note 2 on the T-Mobile 4G LTE Network
redjetz Posted July 23, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 23, 2014 Actually, the chocolates seem to be on their way out. None on the Summit a couple weeks ago, just a choco covered Oreo on the first formal night. Which was fine with me, as we seldom ate the chocolates anyway. Master0396 Posted July 23, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted July 23, 2014 Ohh... That's a bummer. I loved those chocolates.
Wanderlost Posted July 23, 2014 #6 Share Posted July 23, 2014 We were on the Millennium southbound Alaska cruise last week and were told by the CC host, Lionel that the nightly chocolates have been replaced by chocolate covered cookies which are supposed to be left on formal nights. Lionel said it is now a fleet wide policy.
DaKa2002 Posted July 23, 2014 #7 Share Posted July 23, 2014 We just got off the Connie in July - the pillow chocolates were the smallest I've seen in 20+ years of traveling! Just plain old milk chocolate - absolutely nothing special. I gave all mine to my DW...
TeaBag Posted July 23, 2014 #8 Share Posted July 23, 2014 I am so sorry to hear that the chocolates are a thing of the past. One more thing taken away......
Pushka Posted July 23, 2014 #9 Share Posted July 23, 2014 Just off Equinox last week and we received choc coated Oreos only - and only on 1 of the 2 formal nights.
Phxazzcruisers Posted July 23, 2014 #10 Share Posted July 23, 2014 Just off the Infinity in June and we got a chocolate every night. It was milk chocolate, we prefer dark chocolate, but ate it just the same :-)
Pushka Posted July 23, 2014 #11 Share Posted July 23, 2014 It should be consistent across the fleet. Clearly it isn't.

I was told that on my friends recent Celebrity Century cruise to Alaska, there was none. What is this thing with chocolates. If they are that important to you, buy a bag of chocolates and put it on your pillow each night. If you go on a 14 day cruise, you are only talking about a few bucks worth of chocolates. bertrande Posted July 23, 2014 #13 Share Posted July 23, 2014 Just off Equinox last week and we received choc coated Oreos only - and only on 1 of the 2 formal nights. Just got off the Solstice and we received 3 choc coated Oreos on the first formal night. Ate them all - the LO loved them :)
Bababooey Land Posted July 23, 2014 #14 Share Posted July 23, 2014 just off the Equinox in a suite. one chocolate per pillow per night. no X on the chocolate cover, no different flavors. definitely a small cost savings. not really a big deal to me, but my wife did notice the change and made a comment to me that the chocolates are not as good as before :)
Mermen Posted July 23, 2014 #15 Share Posted July 23, 2014 We usually cruise in late September or October and every year collect our flavored chocolates, maybe eat one or two. Come home with about 30 or more chocolates and end up tossing them in the Halloween Trick-or-Treat candy bucket to pass out! lol :D
darrencantwait Posted July 23, 2014 #16 Share Posted July 23, 2014 We were on Constellation in June in Amsterdam/Norway. Every night we had a Milka brand chocolate. I just assumed we had European chocolate because the ship was in Europe for the season. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milka
Orator Posted July 23, 2014 #17 Share Posted July 23, 2014 Type II diabetes has become a growing health concern in the US. Perhaps X is just trying to provide a healthier cruise experience :) IMHO the best chocolate is at Al Bacio.
OCA REP Posted July 23, 2014 #18 Share Posted July 23, 2014 Just off the Summit, where we were in a suite. We received the chocolate-covered oreos on both pillows, every night. Nothing really special about them, but I did eat one a night our two. Totally agree with a previous poster about the nice chocolates in Cafe al Bacio... perfect! A Sixth? Posted July 23, 2014 #21 Share Posted July 23, 2014 Just off the Eclipse earlier this month and they left a square belgian chocolate on our AQ1 pillow each night (the type at the bottom of the photo.) Still have some of the other ones (top of photo) around. Like them both.
flyingv4me Posted July 23, 2014 #22 Share Posted July 23, 2014 I still have about twenty of the Celebrity flavored chocolates remaining from my January B2B. Maybe I should sell them on eBay! LOL!
cruisedancemom Posted July 23, 2014 #23 Share Posted July 23, 2014 Yup, chocolate covered Oreos every night in sky suite on summit to Bermuda this month.
