Esilef Posted February 8, 2015 #956 Share Posted February 8, 2015 in todays travel section of the Sydney Sunday Tele it advertised as a fly/stay/cruise deal from $1699 That's not a bad price. We paid $949 pp & $89 flights melbourne to Sydney & 1 night in Singapore was $260 (used qantas ff points & only paid $120) and return Singapore to melbourne Jetstar was $160pp. So $1128 pp 17 nights & all flights. Rare MicCanberra Posted February 8, 2015 #960 Share Posted February 8, 2015 Do they still have a "brig" ?:D Not sure but then the Titanic only had a lockable room, and Jack was handcuffed to a pipe, so maybe they have never had a brig on cruise ships. GUT2407 Posted February 8, 2015 #963 Share Posted February 8, 2015 (edited) Lol or referred to on this forum as the naughty room. Naughty room is usually used to just mean where you go when your luggage is held because it appears to have (or has) something prohibited in it. Brig or lockup is for crime. If found guilty by the captain. You walk the plank off the lido deck after bingo but before trivia starts.

icat2000 Posted February 10, 2015 Author #973 Share Posted February 10, 2015 Bloody hell the last minuters are getting cheaper and cheaper. You have to wonder what gets chopped to sustain those kinds of nightly rates. Better to sail with a full ship than half empty one. More potential to suck money out on drinks, excursions, casino which are the three big money earners for the cruiseline than the cabin fare.
