I’m interested in a partial world cruise on the Crown Princess NEXT year: 36 nights from New York to Sydney, 20th August to 26th September 2025. Unfortunately it’s a bit pricey at the moment. I'm not sure that I’m game to wait until the beginning of August 2025 in the hopes of picking up a bargain. Perhaps it will drop to a more affordable price after the final payment date. 🤷♂️ Edited May 13 by Sparky74 Autocorrect

The 2024 last minute deal only came about because of a late decision to divert from the Red Sea. 2025 has already been altered, lots cancelled, plenty jumped on the newly available cabins. There will be bits & pieces available into next year, but I don't expect there will be anything cheap unless there is an Iceland volcanic eruption or a US civil war. I hope you can jump aboard, as there will be plenty of sea days for a chat or two.

By the time you add gratuities it’s almost $300/person/day. Then we need to add flights and a precruise stay in New York and shore excursions… But a Panama Canal cruise is on my bucket list. And this cruise calls at Easter Island too! I wonder if any cabins will be left after final payment, 120 days out. I wonder if the price will drop then. 🤔 DW says to book it if it comes down to $200/person/day. 🤷♂️

It is an $AU cruise, so even a sector linked to the US should still be $AU rules.. Easter Island was listed as a stop initially, with shore tours available but the more recent version of the itinerary is showing 4hrs of scenic cruising and no shore tours available.
Rare Sparky74 Posted May 16 #5982 Share Posted May 16 Yes, you can still cruise for $100/person/night! Here are the best prices I can find online. Rare cruiser3775 Posted May 17 #5984 Share Posted May 17 Thanks for the research Sparky. Glad to see Carnival Splendor featured a lot. It's got a poor reputation, but I enjoyed my first cruise on it enough that I've now booked a second one. 4
sewgood Posted May 17 #5985 Share Posted May 17 Good to see that there are still some cheap cruises to be had I just have to adjust my under a $100 a day for an interior a little bit. Maybe I need to think a cheap cruise is one under $125 a day per person. A pity as $100 was so easy to work out. 😁
Rare Sparky74 Posted May 28 #5986 Share Posted May 28 This morning there was a sponsored post on "antisocial media" advertising a P&O Flash Sale which ends on 31st May. I wasn't all that keen anyway, and the flash sale usually means they take away the OBC from the previous promo and take that much off the cruise fare. That equates to $7364 for 14 nights for 2 in balcony cabin. I have a 14 night booked with Princess mini suite for $6,200 with OBC on Diamond Princess. Rare arxcards Posted July 27 #5999 Share Posted July 27 Thanks for your ongoing updates, as they are a great point of reference. If we weren't otherwise cruising, the Island Princess WC sector would be a nice option. Interesting that there is a fair number of "Carnival operated" P&O cruises at sub $100 p/n. 1

Yes, I’m tempted by the Princess WC sector also. But we're taking all of this years holidays in the second half of the year so I'll think we’ll stick with our Asian plans for 2025 st this stage. And yes, it will be interesting to see what happens to P&O prices after March. I think I listed the 28 cheapest (/person/day) Australian cruises above (I stopped at $120pppd) and apart from two Princess itineraries, they’re all P&O cruises. The cheapest cruise on a Carnival branded ship on my list is 3 nights Sydney to Brisbane on the Carnival Luminonsa on 7th November 2024 at $125/person/night ($374/person). I expect P&O fares will increase once they stop charging for Eggs Benedict, etc. 🤷♂️ 2
