Sounds amazing... Where are you finding the cruise on Celebrity Edge on Jan 25 for only $90 per night?

Do you have a website link or company name? Is it in USD or AUD?

Thanks!

Read up on site rules, and you will see that travel agent links are forbode.

Try direct with Celebrity. Prices on their Aussie site are in $AU, but onboard spending will be in $US

Cruises: Award-Winning Luxury Cruise Line | Celebrity Cruises Australia

For that 25th January cruise:

https://www.celebritycruises.com/au/itinerary-search?sailStartDate=2024-01-01&sailEndDate=2024-01-31&dateToggle=M&q=edge&departures=SYD

or ask your preferred travel agent for a price.

Damn - even solo (for $2,389) is a bargain for this ship......  I was booked for an April one but solo, it was over $450 a night in an inside cabin. (I did end up cancelling that)

I tried to find this bargain yesterday but couldn’t see those prices anywhere. Did anyone have any luck?

I’ve just found a verandah cabin supposedly for $1490 (oceanview and interior are 3 and 4 times this price)! However, trying to find a cabin for that price doesn’t seem possible.

I think that is the secret with big ships. Stay on board and enjoy the ship and facilities whilst other passengers are in port.

I think it is a good idea to register with cruise lines and travel agents who sell cruises you are interested in and be ready to

book when you receive bargain offers.  I am a solo cruiser but never pay a single supplement as I receive offers of “no single supplement”.

Sydney Harbour is unique, one of a kind.  Brisbane has better quality of life for families than Sydney does. The islands off Brisbane are beautiful - Moreton Island and Stradbroke Island.  So once you leave the Brisbane River, the cruise past the sand hills of Moreton Island and up the Caloundra Passage is beautiful.

Isn't it always the way!🙄

The airfare home from the cheap Celebrity cruise is about $1500 plus.   I was also interested in the cruise until I looked at the fares home.   It would have been about $4000 total and that included a balcony with the fares back home.  No saving to be made in the end.

I am on a transpacific back home in October.   The airfares from Melb to Hawaii was about $600 each and that included better seats and food.   Total $4000 again.

Even return airfares from Newcastle to Brisbane last year were going to be more expensive than 7 nights solo on Luminosa. I guess that by the time airfares have normalised that the prices of relocation cruises will shoot-up to match. Oh well.

Definitely, and a good opportunity to spend a few days in Hawaii as well before flying home. We're doing a relocation cruise in October from Hawaii to Auckland and will have a few days soaking up the friendly Hawaiian culture and sun before the relaxing cruise home. Often it's about having a good holiday even though an airfare is involved 🌞 🍹 🥳

You know those offers where you get up to $500 OBC, but you find out that when you choose your itinerary & cabin you are only going to get $100 or less?

Current Carnival QV8 promo for past cruisers (valid VIFP number), there is a $500 OBC promo available till May 6th. I just looked at a 3 nighter for next Feb, and it showed $500 OBC per cabin. I checked as a chosen inside cabin - still $500 OBC.

So, the deal I spot for 3 nights Luminosa on 6th Feb 2025 is for a midship inside cabin on deck 7.

Room total = $968 and comes with $500 OBC.

Even nicer - Deck 4 aft balcony = $1088 and comes with $500 OBC.

Deck 4 aft on Luminosa are the largest sized balconies, great location. Just had a deck 5 this time slightly smaller by about a foot but still bigger than the regular ones.

I have been waiting months for them to shift. In that time the price has gone up around $10 per day. The price on the category we were looking at has gone back to last years price, and the OBC will pay for steakhouse, internet & drinks so it pretty much becomes an inclusive price. We decided to book this afternoon, so we have this one followed by Diamond Princess, split by a night in Brisbane. Maybe they will let us sleep on those park benches outside the terminal.

For $1750, I have bit the bullet for an Ocean Suite, with views to the side & aft.

Shame it's not like a hotel where you could do late check-out and early check-in, and party in between 😉

Was that in your "My Offers"? Or just when you were looking at cruises?

Carnival got some good deals. I've still getting offers for $1000 OBC on some cruises. But I can't pull the trigger because I have to fly to either Sydney or Brisbane and the crusies dont interest me. Its depressing looking for cruises when your home port is Melbourne.

I have been getting for a few months some amazing Casino deals from Carnival. Unfortunately only inside cabins (which we cannot do). Considering I have never been on Carnival I am surprised by the offers, just wishing they would offer at least an outside!
