Esilef Posted February 15, 2016 #2376 Share Posted February 15, 2016 That's a great idea. I don't think it would work if you lived in Sydney though. It maybe worth your while even grabbing a cheap flight from another city to Sydney to "trick" the system into zoning you as Australia. Don't ask me why the system does this but it took me ages to workout.
B'Elanna Posted February 15, 2016 #2377 Share Posted February 15, 2016 You could fly Singapore - Sydney on SCOOT. At the moment, they have flights ranging from $128 to $258 depending on flying home the day the cruise ends, or a few days later.
icat2000 Posted February 15, 2016 Author #2378 Share Posted February 15, 2016 And you can pick up a flight back on Qantas for around $400-$500 if you don't want to travel Scoot or Air Asia.

They have some good fares occasionally, woodyren may have the key when they say get the airfare and then the cruise.

Also handy for the short reposition's here in Aus too, there were some really cheap cruise fares last year at the last minute but airfares were a killer :(

Thats how I booked my April cruise. Got the airfare first then waited on the cruise. Had a couple of options to pick cruises that would fit. And I waited for the cruise to drop and it did. Vader1111 Posted February 18, 2016 #2390 Share Posted February 18, 2016 Same repo cruise as above. Sydney-Singapore 16th April including flight back to Sydney $1199pp. If you book an inside stateroom you will receive US$200 OBC. 1 night post cruise in Singpore. Where did you find this (PM me if necessary, as you can't name travel agents on CC)? I found the cruise-only price, but would be very interested in the cruise/stay/fly option. goodycruising Posted February 18, 2016 #2391 Share Posted February 18, 2016 Ship Name: Legend Of The Seas Cruise Code: LG26FEB16 Departure Date: Friday, 26 February 2016 Cruise Name: South Pacific Nights: 9 Departing: Brisbane - Australia Oceanview GTY going at around $534 per person twin share, plus grats at $164 per person. There is another Sth Pac trip in April on Legend which has a similar per day gty price. Worth a look if you are able to get on at Brisbane. Legend cruises have not been cheap overall.
