Beds on Freedom

I have back issues and am wondering about the beds on the freedom. Are they hard? I need a firm bed but a little bit of cushioning for pressure points. I have a travel memory foam topper but it is kind of bulky to bring along..

Spinal fusion patient here. I've always been comfortable on RC beds including Freedom, but I haven't been on here since 2008. I've heard of toppers being available upon request, but never had the need. As my signature indicates many great nights sleep.

Beds are moderately firm and have a foam topper as of May this year. May have changed since.

This was my experience in early August. DD and I agreed that we slept better in those beds than ours at home!

Thanks! Having injections today and sailing Sunday. Glad I don't have to carry that big bag!

Those injections, while not exactly painful are un-nerving. (pun intended)

My wife has a terrible back and had to do injections several times a year

She sleep very comfortable on the freedom class beds. We did Independence last Dec And the Liberty the prior Nov. I just hope the Jewels of the Sea use the same bedding since we are going in Dec.

My wife thought the beds on the FOS were too firm , so we asked the attendant for an egg crate mattress topper. It was on the bed that night and we bought thought it was much more comfortable.

Actually, to clarify more, I had RFA, Radio Frequency Ablation so they are very un-nerving because they burn the little nerves! Lol.

 

I get unjections for Sciatica and RFA for lower back. Rfa helped for almost a year and then those little darn nerves grow back! Thanks for all the feedback. It is really appreciated!

I was on the Freedom in February, two weeks before major spinal surgery and I was vey comfortable. Our beds each had an egg crate topper.

Good luck with your back! I can certainly empathize!

I never had a bed problems issue on any RC cruises, in fact I live with multiple medical problems including fibromyalgia and herniated discs and never had any problem.
