So I got the call and I took the bate. ;-)

We are going on a ladies cruise in a few

Weeks and four of us are sharing it. Plus two other cabins.

Owe have FTTF but will we still need it? I know you get ZeRo peeks on

carnival.

I also heard they escort you to your room.

Does that mean baggage arrives quickly?

Any hints or tips would be great!

No you should not have to stand in line. With Suites you should get VIP boarding.. with the Penthouse you will definitely get VIP boarding. It should state that on your "FunPass". Call then and cancel the FTTF unless you want it for the other perks....

I think you misunderstood her question.:o;)

But will I have to stand in the crazy long line if I need to go to the pursers desk?

Yes, you will still have to stand in the regular Guest Services line if you get rid of your FTTF. The only perks you will get with the suite are priority embark and debark (and escort to your suite in this particular case, apparently). Luggage is not going to be expedited; no VIP GS line, no priority tender without FTTF (or Platinum and above).

Enjoy the Owner's Suite and the ladies' cruise!:)

DH and I had one of the Owner's Suites on the Imagination several years ago during Christmas and it was fabulous. You are treated like royalty from the moment you check in. Yes, you get your keys at the Purser's Desk - we are Platinum, so no waiting in line there. We were escorted to the penthouse and shown all around the 900 square foot cabin. Wow. My brother and sister-in-law were on the same cruise and we got them their own keys so they could come up anytime. The deck is huge and overlooks the Lido pool. We usually book suites, but this was very special and unforgettable. Enjoy!

The Owners Suites on the 9 Fantasy Class ships are truly owners suites.

When the ships initially sailed, they could not be booked as they were for

CCL corporate guests and the Arison families.

As nice as they are , unless you are getting a great $$$ , they like all CCL suites ,receive very few perks when compared with other mass market cruise lines.

We got a call offering us an upsell to the Penthouse Suite (also called the Owner's Suite) in 2011 when the Ecstasy still sailed out of Galveston, TX.

There are only two of these gigantic suites on the ship. We had been on the Ecstasy before and never realized they were there even though you can see the windows when you are at the pool. The cabin measures 916 sq ft and the balcony 110 sq ft.

Since it was our anniversary, I said yes.

My wife took pictures and posted them on her personal website. You can see them at the link below.

We had a personal escort but still had to stand in line to board the ship. Also, when we returned back to Galveston, the same man escorted us off the ship and stayed with us until we collected our baggage.

We always book a suite, but Carnival doesn't offer much in the way of perks.

Happy Sailing! Cruising is a wonderful way to see the world!

You need the escort because you'd never find the entrance without help!

This is true. We had been on the Ecstasy once before and had stood near the entrance. I thought at the time that it was the entrance to an office. It seems funny now when I think about it. :D
