jd10367 Posted February 13, 2016 #526 Share Posted February 13, 2016 Vivian , host on EN, will be able to tell you the last night what rebate you earned and if you got a free cruise. I'm on the same cruise and I plan to apply the rebate to an existing booking May 27 on Majesty. I have 3 other cruises in 2016 I've already applied payment toward including $750 toward my Allure cruise in August. I only saw our host the first day, she was never around after. So I don't know if she was sick or just non-existent. Never once came over and asked if everything was ok did I need anything.

OTownNick Posted February 13, 2016 #529 Share Posted February 13, 2016 (edited) May i ask if anyone tips the Casino Host? Thanks No. That thought never crossed my mind. I tip the dealers though. I love betting for the dealer and hitting the numbers. I hit the numbers for them at least once a day. maryjaden Posted February 14, 2016 #531 Share Posted February 14, 2016 I am not sure what the protocol is, but I have read that casino hosts are not supposed to accept tips. However it it certainly accepted and appreciated to tip dealers and other staff.

starfish216 Posted February 14, 2016 #533 Share Posted February 14, 2016 Just spoke with them today. We are leaving Monday and they confirmed we are getting our rebate and anything we earn on this cruise can be used as casino cash if we sail again before March 15, 2016. If not, we must book a cruise before March 15 to sail any time in 2016, then we can use the money towards that cruise payment. Otherwise it is lost. I asked if they have any more details, and I got the usual reply, "It will be so good, blah blah blah but details aren't firmed up yet". I just want to make sure I understand how the rebate is working. A rebate offer and VIP Casino discount was sent to us in April 2105 (after sailing on the Quantum March 2015) with the understanding it had to sail by March 15, 2016. In April 2015 I booked the Anthem fro May 2016 and received a VIP Casino discount of $440 for the cruise fare. We also have $550 in rebate but figured it will be lost since we are not sailing before March 2016. From reading on here, if I understand correctly, am I able to apply the rebate to final payment? I thought the rebate can only be received once on board the ship. Thanks

EllaDuChien Posted February 14, 2016 #535 Share Posted February 14, 2016 That was true at the time. However so many people complained about losing rebate money that they are now allowing you to use the rebate toward final payment. You cannot take it as cash onboard unless you are sailing before March 15, but al least you don't lose it completely!

jd10367 Posted February 15, 2016 #538 Share Posted February 15, 2016 We are nearing March, so I was wondering if anyone had heard anything? I haven't yet. I need to call them this week to see what was earned on my Anthem cruise last week and see what discount and how the 50% off voucher will work on the cruise we booked on board. I'm assuming everything can be combined.
starfish216 Posted February 16, 2016 #539 Share Posted February 16, 2016 Well I just to say THANK YOU for all those who posted on here regarding CR Rebates. Four members of our family had received a rebate offers from CR based on our March 2015 sailing on the Quantum. In April 2015 I was able to take advantage of the casino rate for our sailing our May 5, 2016 sailing on the Anthem. I thought the cash rebates would just be lost since we were not sailing before March 15, 2016. I wasn't aware until I read it on here, that you can have the rebate applied to final payment for cruises during 2016. I made final payment for the cruise on Feb 1 even though it wasn't due until Feb 20. After a phone call to CR I just received an email confirmation stating they are making an exception and allowing those rebates to be applied as Casino FreePlay credit. Big score for my family. Total rebates range from $100 - $550 for a total of $1175. Since I just scored $550 extra gambling money for my DH I see a shopping trip on the horizon for me. Everyone else just owes me a drink. lol Again, thanks for passing along info.

Robinhill Posted February 25, 2016 #543 Share Posted February 25, 2016 (edited) Well, i just came back last Sunday from a RCCL cruise- was enrolled onboard in Casino Royale and on the last night received a free cruise for two certificate with certain cruises listed on the back. I am taking the very last one which is a 4 night on the Majesty out of Port Canaveral on May 30. I gambled about 1200 on my last cruise but did not lose it all so not sure, but all i pay is my gratuities and the port fees and taxes ($260 total for the two of us) Not bad for an oceanview cabin on the 8th floor midship! I don't know anything about rebates though- would someone on the ship have told me about that or how do i find out- call Club Royale directly? Yes, normally I'd say to call Club Royale directly about a week or two after your cruise. Given that it's almost the deadline, though, I'd call sooner rather than later. You can reach them at (888) 561-2234. Edited February 25, 2016 by Daghis

I did call them and found out i had 285 in rebate but that it is apparently either/or and because of the free cruise for two that had more value the rebate did not apply. Daghis Posted February 26, 2016 #547 Share Posted February 26, 2016 Yeah, that's how they've been doing things. If the short-notice cruise works for you, then that's the better deal. I found that I'm generally not able to take advantage of the free cruise offer with just three months' notice.
