NCL ruined our anniversary

Question - How did the 2nd dinner (last night of the cruise) since the conversation with Jenny went? That time or the lunch would had been perfect for comped meal or freebie item.

Also, do you know how loud you have to be for people to overhear you in a casino at sea? I don't think the person/poster eavesdrop; I think your conversation with the hotel director was so loud everyone else had no choice but to leave the area or just hear it. That's my opinion about the eavesdropping....

Wow wrong again. Amazing how judgemental the people here are.

As this happen the last night...There wasn't time for another dinner or meal. The conversation with Jenny was about 10 pm the last night.

Jenny came looking for us....she did the talking, explaining, and aplogizing...so I guess u mean Jenny was so loud for others to over hear. She asked about lunch at Teppanyaki--which had nothing to do with the dinner at Bistro; except her apologies. But I guess hearing second hand stories are more truthful to you.

If we were upset we would be like so many others and asked for the daily service charge to be removed...but we did not...

We had a poor dinner service and I was just trying to share. ...never again... people here have ruined CC in the past few months with their nastiness, and I guess it will never be the same again

Yes the whole truth should be given, but I'm not going to tell the identity of the crew member that told me the full details of what Jenny did for them and how hurt she was when she read this post. In addition to the comped lunch in Teppanyaki and the bottle of Prosecco with the chocolate covered strawberries, plus the decorated room to help celebrate their anniversary. I would never betray a friend of so many years by posting something like this to hurt them. All of the crew is aware that NCL reads these boards, and to do something to make a mistake that was very well compensated for is beyond seem so much worse is just wrong. Jenny was very hurt when she read this thread.

So very sad....but you know what? I think most of the CC members here know when someone is telling the truth. I know for a fact (will NOT divulge my source), that this woman is NOT telling even HALF the truth. Cheers to Jenny....

OP sorry your meal was ruined, but I was in the casino when Jenny found you and apologized for the misunderstanding and comped you a meal in Teppanyaki. And I heard you tell her that a bottle of prosecco would make up for everything. You smiled to her face and then stabbed her in the back with this post.

Now who is being fair???

Wow .... unbelievable!

Wow. Amazing people here!

The overheard conversation was stated incorrectly here. .. it was the last night of the cruise, so we couldn't go another night, and Jenny was asking about our lunch and bottle at Teppanyaki. She wasn't comping us a meal My DH and Jenny have been friends for a long time, that way she came looking for us. Wasnt asking for anything or expecting anything except NCL should know so that it won't happen again to somebody else.

If people are going to eavesdrop on a conversation they should gets facts correct.

OK...I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that your entire purpose was to ensure that "NCL should know so that it won't happen again to someone else."

Your concern for your fellow cruisers is admirable.

However...

You spoke DIRECTLY with the Hotel Director Jenny Lim about the issue. IF, and I truely mean IF, your DH and Jenny have any sort of a relationship, then you KNOW that she is a complete professional who does not sweep problems under the rug. If Jenny Lim knows about an issue, you can bet upper management does as well.

So playing devil's advocate, assuming that you thought talking with Jenny Lim wasn't enough and you truely did just want to let NCL know, then why not simply write and send NCL a letter so that you KNOW they have it? Why post an overly dramatic account on a public message board when the possibility exists that NCL may never even see it?

It all just seems to go against your stated purpose.

I'd be curious to see Jenny's reaction to the thread. Gotta make her feel good to go the extra mile to seek out and help her "friends" only to have them rip her apart for her role in destroying their "once in a lifetime" event. :(

This special meal which the OP and her DH ordered, cost them quite a bit of money. Not only was the meal not cooked the way they ordered, it was served cold.

They had every right to complain, and I hope that they were able to be refunded. Apps and wine alone, are not worth the full $40.00 price.

I'm happy that the rest of their weekend went well, and their anniversary was not ruined-----Just one dinner.

You also left out another part of your story. How about when you called guest services to tell them that your husband was so distraught over your "ruined" anniversary, that he tossed and turned all night. He fell out of bed. They sent the medic to your cabin and you refused to let them see or speak to your husband.

OMG - what a piece of work.

Thank you for posting this. Most of us regulars already knew this whole thread was nothing more than BS. You can smell it a mile away. Some people are just low class. Not much you can do about that. :(

So did you know that NCL reads the forums and if Jenny is friend of your husband; did he explain to her why you posted here? It not the other posters reactions you need to worry; its her's and you pretty much shat on her with your posts. So the next time, something goes wrong with you on NCL ship and Jenny is the hotel director at that time, I highly doubt she will go out of her way to your and your husband after this betrayal. And yes, it is a betrayal; your husband is supposedly friends with her; NCL and her go out there way to fix the problem that went complete awry that you claimed can't be fixed but it was rectified and then some. And the way you pay her back is to make a negative post(s) claiming that NCL and by extension her, couldn't fix the issues because it 'once in a lifetime' - I would you the evil eye, the super eye roll around the world, the body language & hand motions of 'whatever' and stop being friends with the both of you too.

This is one of those threads where I hope or expect for someone at the end to say...Gotcha. Everyone was fooled because this is getting ridiculous.

Rule of thumb: At any restaurant at any time if the food you ordered tastes bad or was not cooked to your liking.....send it back and you wont be charged. Don't make yourself miserable by eating a bad meal, pay for it, and then complain about it. The restaurant will do whatever it takes to make you happy.

Please someone punk us with this thread

Unbelievable what the real story turned out to be. What exactly would have been enough compensation for your so called "ruined anniversary"??? A free cruise? Stock in NCL?? What you did publicly to a "friend" of yours was horrible. You should literally be ashamed of yourself.
