Cruising89143 Posted December 8, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted December 8, 2014 What happened to Adam Godlstein--did I miss something? Adam was promoted back in April to President and COO of RCCL. His position at RCI has been open since this time.
nelblu Posted December 8, 2014 #5 Share Posted December 8, 2014 Adam was promoted back in April to President and COO of RCCL. His position at RCI has been open since this time. I guess he's only Chief Operating Officer (CEO) and no longer President..
joepeka Posted December 8, 2014 #6 Share Posted December 8, 2014 I guess he's only Chief Operating Officer (CEO) and no longer President.. All the press releases I can find still show him as President and COO (Chief Operating Officer) of RCC Ltd.
Rare orville99 Posted December 8, 2014 #7 Share Posted December 8, 2014 All the press releases I can find still show him as President and COO (Chief Operating Officer) of RCC Ltd. True. He is now President and COO at the corporate level, so he oversees operations of all of the brands.

Dave85 Posted December 8, 2014 #9 Share Posted December 8, 2014 I'm very happy to see RCI fill the vacancy. IMHO the company could use some leadership right now, and hopefully installing Michael Bayley will bring some stability and accountability for... err... struggling... parts of the company. Best of luck to Mr. Bayley.
The Big Booper Posted December 8, 2014 #10 Share Posted December 8, 2014 Bayley was brought in a couple of years ago to run Celebrity. He now moves over to the top brand to replace Goldstein who was promoted to head honcho of all the brands. As a s/h I appreciate how well the company is now running. Elizanessie Posted December 8, 2014 #12 Share Posted December 8, 2014 From the article - "She moves to her new role from her position as Executive Vice President, Operations at Royal Caribbean, where she played a critical role in the recent successful launch of Quantum of the Seas, the first in the company's newest class of ships." Hmm, does giving all 3400 guests on the 11/2 Maiden Voyage a 25% Future Cruise Certificate and OBC count as "successful launch" ? Wouldn't a successful launch have really been when the guests were all happy and WOWed by the launch, instead of all the complaints/bad reviews etc ? What do they actually mean when they say "successful launch" ?

Made the TA with no epic fail. ;)

The jury is most certainly still out as to whether Quantum's launch, still very much underway in her first few weeks of service, was "successful." ...unless you define success as the mere fact that the ship floats and transports passengers under its own power. :p Sent from my iPhone using Cruise Critic Forums mobile app

Therefore, it was a successful launch.
