lukesmom1019 Posted December 31, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 31, 2014 If we are debarking off the Glory at 8am from the POM and have the FTTF pass that allows us early debarkation, is there any way we could make a 10:15am flight from MIA?? I know it would probably be pushing it but the next flight isn't until 8:10pm.

eandj Posted January 1, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 1, 2015 You ask if you could make it....yes. But if there was ANY delay at all the areas you need to go thru, you won't. To me the stress and likelihood of no empty seats on the next flight, make that decision a no go. When flying thru MIA, you are more likely to hit delays. Rare Keith1010 Posted January 1, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 1, 2015 Don't do it. No one can say with certainty that you will make it. What can go wrong? Ship arrives late. Delay in customs/immigration. You are one of the lucky ones (well really unlucky) who customs randomly stops to go through all of your luggage. Taxis are not readily available and you have a longer than normal wait. You get to the airport and there is a very long line to get through security. Unless you like stress don't do it because the odds are against you making the flight. Happy New Year. Keith
JohninDC Posted January 1, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 1, 2015 For a 10:15 flight you need to be at MIA by 8:45 (and earlier is better if you have seen the TSA lines at MIA :(). That means clear of customs/immigration, with bags, and loading into a cab by 8:15-8:20 or so. Could you make it? - you could, or you could miss your flight and wind up paying through the nose for a later flight (or maybe early the next day ). Do you want to spend your cruise worried about making your flight home? I would l look at staying another night in Miami and catching the 1015 flight out the next day!
BlueHerons Posted January 1, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 1, 2015 (edited) No, this would be a pretty difficult flight to make. There is so much more that could go wrong for you to miss this flight than can go right for you to make the flight. Why not spend the night, extend your vaycay for a day, and take that early flight the next day? You could be at home doing laundry or on a beach in Miami.
