woodscruise Posted January 8, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2015 I have just check Sydney Ports and noticed an unusual entry. There is 10 dates where it is showing as the ship name is Carnival Corp. The dates are 20 August, 5,19,27 September, 5 October, 3,8,12,28 November and 16 December. All are at the OPT. Does anyone have any idea what this entry maybe, or do we have to wait.

Rare MicCanberra Posted January 8, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 8, 2015 No idea, but VoTs is here now and EoTS is next year perhaps another RCI ship will make its debut here.:D
The_Big_M Posted January 8, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 8, 2015 No idea, but VoTs is here now and EoTS is next year perhaps another RCI ship will make its debut here.:D I would think it very unlikely that an RCL ship would make a booking under "Carnival Corp." :D
Kiwi_cruiser Posted January 8, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 8, 2015 That could be the 3rd Carnival ship Carnival are talking about bringing down here.

Kiwi Kruzer Posted January 8, 2015 #8 Share Posted January 8, 2015 If they want to berth at the OPT they have to get in ahead of RCCL....hence the booking and then they can name which ship will use it. They also have to pay a non refondable deposit at the time of booking , so bookings are not done lightly. It does go to show how far ahead they have to plan. ...just think , for those bookings in 2017 they are probably also placing orders for thousands upon thousands of prime steak cuts to be ready for the cruises.:):)

woodscruise Posted January 8, 2015 Author #12 Share Posted January 8, 2015 Emerald is already listed in Sydney Ports. These are another date. Just a thought didn't Princess say the the new build may debut in Australia. This is schedule for the American Fall of 2017 (our Spring)
GUT2407 Posted January 8, 2015 #13 Share Posted January 8, 2015 Thanks re the Emerald, and there were rumours about a debut here, but I don'tr recall Princess themselves saying so.
icat2000 Posted January 8, 2015 #14 Share Posted January 8, 2015 Maybe its a booking for the Revenue Princess (it hasn't got a name yet) so they have to put Carnival Corp. Going to start in Europe then spend some time in Asia and head down under for our Summer. No point having three Royal class ships in the USA. Send us a brand new one. :D

Royalty X Posted January 10, 2015 #20 Share Posted January 10, 2015 Next to Carnival Corp, on the right hand side, it specifies Carnival Cruise Line, so it's more than likely gonna be the third Carnival ship (16Feb17, 12Apr17, 26Apr17, then 10Jul17). Perhaps they haven't been able to secure all the spots they want, because some dates are quite far apart.
