mappel96 Posted January 30, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 30, 2015 (edited) Is there a store close by the cruise terminals in Venice where I can pick up a few cases of water to bring on board? Thanks in advance for any assistance! Edited January 30, 2015 by mappel96 left out port

zqvol Posted January 30, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 30, 2015 I don't recall anything like that anywhere in Venice.
CathyCruises Posted January 30, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 30, 2015 Yes, there is a COOP store in Piazzale Roma, but carrying a few cases would still be a hike even using the People Mover. . .you might be better off with a few large bottles, then stocking up on a few more in each port, Me, I just drink the ship water. . . slidergirl Posted January 30, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 30, 2015 Just so you know - the ship's water and any tap water in Italy is safe to drink. The public drinking fountains in Rome have some of the best municipal water I've ever tasted. If you must do bottled, do what another poster suggested - pick up just a few big bottles and replenish at your stops.
mappel96 Posted January 30, 2015 Author #7 Share Posted January 30, 2015 Thank you for the info on the COOP. Family of five with great rolling luggage, so a case or two would work. Thank you also for the idea of just buying at each stop.
freddiebud Posted January 30, 2015 #8 Share Posted January 30, 2015 I found markets conveniently located in most every port we stopped at. I would just dodge in, buy a bottle and continue on my way. Another idea is to bring reusable bottles and just fill them as the other posters mentioned.

Flatbush Flyer Posted February 3, 2015 #10 Share Posted February 3, 2015 Is there a store close by the cruise terminals in Venice where I can pick up a few cases of water to bring on board? Thanks in advance for any assistance! Don't join the hordes of folks who waste time, energy and money on cases of bottled water when ship's water is as good as (if not better than) anything you'll find in a store. Bring a reusable bottle. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
