Switching dining to Celebrity Select

My teenage daughter and are I confirmed for main seating dining, but are considering switching to Select.

 

Are you ever seated with others in Select? Can we switch when we get onboard and see what our table assignment in main will be?

You can sit with others, your choice what you want to do. You can switch once on board if available.

I would switch now if you think Select is what you want. There are only so many slots available in each type of dining (Select, 1st Tradtional, Late Traditional), and Select is popular these days so it often fills up. You may be able to switch onboard but it's not guaranteed.

Switch now. We have tried onboard and it's very diffcult. Either they are too booked or it's the prepaid gratuities that they want

I'm still not sure. Since it is just the two of us, I thought the dinner would be good to meet people and share our day. But, we are really don't like the 6:00 start.

If you book Select when you arrive at the dining room you will be asked if you want to share a table. If you do you are seated with others, if not a table for just the two of you.

 

Works well you get to met new people & and if some evenings if you want to eat by yourselves you can.

We have done both, but prefer Select dining as we do not need to rush when we are getting ready for dinner. Select is great as you can either have dinner for two or join a larger group if you are in the mood to meet new people. We also thought it was great as we have met terrific people on board and have been able to have them join us for dinner as they were also Select. So many more options in Select.

In select dining you have the option of dining alone or sharing a table. When you check in just let them know you would like to share a table and they will be pleased to accommodate your wish if available.
