hollon Posted March 11, 2015 #76 Share Posted March 11, 2015 On NCL... you have to enter CHOB for the promo code to get the Ultimate Beverage Package - only available for oceanview and above staterooms, not studio or inside. We just did a 7 night on the Breakaway out of NY for $699 per person mid ship balcony deck 9, and it included the Ultimate Beverage package. Great deal and great cruise. Mega ship and it was just built 2 years ago... - Doc Were you please w/ the ship - I wanted to do Anthem, but really considering the breakaway? serene56 Posted March 11, 2015 #78 Share Posted March 11, 2015 I have a booking on hold for just this reason. But can I say, for a D1 Balcony for two on RCL, is $2300. W 50% 2nd person and $200 OBC. On Carnival I got a rate of $1700 for a Grand suite balcony Fclass. Same dates and destination area, both out of Tampa. No OBC with the Carnival but at a savings of $600 and updrade to a suite, who cares! carnival F Class-- is that a fantasy class ship and what ship are you comparing that with? jd07 Posted March 12, 2015 #79 Share Posted March 12, 2015 And the sale is only for residents of USA and Canada. Australia misses out. So could be a good thing?
molly361 Posted March 12, 2015 #80 Share Posted March 12, 2015 How were you able to track when a state discount was available? I have thought about this, but short of checking every day, I am unaware of another way. There is a cruise price tracking service that you pay and they monitor it for you. We are not allowed to mention it here but you can google it.
Brandywine_101 Posted March 12, 2015 #81 Share Posted March 12, 2015 Do you lose the OBC if you take the drink package option? Yes as adding the beverage package will re-price your cruise and the OBC is no longer offered. It's better to keep the OBC as obviously you can use that to purchase a drink package if you wish. Brandywine_101 Posted March 12, 2015 #82 Share Posted March 12, 2015 carnival F Class-- is that a fantasy class ship and what ship are you comparing that with? I have no idea! I'm unfamiliar with the ship/stateroom classes on Carnival. It was my time even looking. I just wrote down what it read. I don't know if that's comparable with RC's D1 balcony class or not. Sherri914 Posted March 12, 2015 #83 Share Posted March 12, 2015 How were you able to track when a state discount was available? I have thought about this, but short of checking every day, I am unaware of another way. Trial and error sadly. I suppose you could call Royal and ask, but for me I prefer to do mock bookings online. For us, we have three standard avenues of discounts. C&A, Virginia Resident, EMT/FF. So when I book a new cruise, I try first with the current promo, not putting in any of our info that would produce any discount. After I know what the price is, I put in our Virginia status, and if there is a resident discount, the price will reflect. Then I try another booking taking out the Virginia resident status and adding the EMT/FF status. Same deal... if there is one available, it will be reflected in the price. caribbean sailor Posted March 12, 2015 #84 Share Posted March 12, 2015 If I recall correctly, in about 50 days when this offer expires is just about when the low prices begin in May 2014 (after 2015/2016 sail dates were announced). They only lasted a few days, but they were pretty decent fares. Maybe the same timing will occur again. If not, I'm moving on. I won't book RCL on these prices. You got that right,no way are we going to book royal at these prices. :(
LuCruise Posted March 12, 2015 #85 Share Posted March 12, 2015 (edited) I don't even understand this deal. When we booked our Promenade room back in December on Allure for April 2016, we got G2 half price. G3 and G4, regular. And we got a small OBC. Now, the Promenade room shouldn't be included in the deal. However, when I check prices now (without entering the code BOGOBEV since it doesn't apply to PR room), I'm still seeing G1, G2 at 50% off and G3 and G4 at 50% off. So it's like the 'normal' price is still like this but the without the drink part of the deal. (And with the deal, PR and Interior rooms don't show but other prices for the other rooms are raised since it includes the drink part...and G1 base price is super high) Edited March 12, 2015 by LuCruise

When I put in my province (I'm Canadian), sometimes I'd see the 'deal' triangle show up on some staterooms and sometimes not. But I've never seen an email indicating there would be a deal during 'such and such time'. Edited March 12, 2015 by LuCruise

EMT like emergency personnel and FF for fire fighter?
Rare BillOh Posted March 12, 2015 #88 Share Posted March 12, 2015 Great! Just what I've been waiting for.:eek::eek: At least it says ends April 30th, We can hope this is the last one, but we both probably doubt it. At least I'll be on a ship that day! chester32 Posted March 12, 2015 #89 Share Posted March 12, 2015 We did have this sale which includes the drinks package in Aus but the prices jumped dramatically nearly $1900 more for E2 cabin we had booked before the sale . The sale was supposed to go till 11th April but RCI stopped it last week and replaced it with a sale called Next Summer sale where prices dropped by about $1000 , lots of people are over RCIs sales and going elsewhere cant they just go back to no gimmick pricing?
