Your "red" link, 'splained --

For the purpose of this exercise, you need a computer based browser. When you are looking at any CC page, hit CTRL+U which will bring up the source code view for the page.

At around line 13 or so, you'll see the Style declarations start. (CC uses an inline style sheet and not a separate file. It's kind of old-timey.)

On lines 30-33, you will see:

a:visited, body_avisited

{

color: #de203e;

}

This tells your browser to render visited links in hexadecimal color #de203e, which is a magenta-ish red. The "a" means anchor, which is a link in HTML and not a big weighty thing on the bow of a ship.

If you have been to any of the pages on the links - even if you didn't click them today - they'll render in the red color. Your browser keeps track of your visited links for a period of time, typically several weeks or more, and that's why you see red if you've visited the links in the past.

I just knew you'd be along with the technical explanation, Brian! ;):cool:
