Has the hurricane damage in Cabo been cleaned up. Was it last year they were hit?

The photos are wonderful. Thanks so much all who share the pics. :)

Sail, in the marina there were a number of empty lots. Fairly clean, but some foundations still there. OO ERS was partially standing, but vacant! All in all (and never having been there before), it looked pretty nice, we thought. Lots of construction going on.

Ok, just back from delivering thee meet and greet invites after the sail a way. Either the ship is getting bigger or I am getting tired. LOL

Cruz chic, both Mumsy and I noted the surprise in vendors faces when I said pesos. One vendor tried to tell me 120 pesos was only $7. I said no it's not. Here's my 120 - you can take it or leave it. He took it. :)

I am so sorry for my northern friends still getting snow. If it makes you feel better, the tres amigos ere cold and suffering in Cabo!

Well, my zagg keyboard is charging. I can't believe how the roll call came to the rescue. Most didn't fit but we founds one that did so it is blue and ch.arging and hopefully done tonight in time to return the charger and charge the Ipad. What a roll call:)

We've just had a "reminder" about our Canadian Customs declarations. It says: " We understand that, as a Canadian citizen/resident, you would like to wait for our last port of call (San Diego, April 27) in order to complete an accurate amount to declare on your Custom Form........ We kindly ask you to submit this form to the Front Office ..... no later than 9:00 pm on Monday, April 27."

LOL, Sapper, ya done good!

I wish I had bee as smart as sapper, I haven't been able to get my old one back. Grrrr Andy uggher

Sorry to hear this news. For you and those in the cabin to come I hope it is a permanent fix this time. Double big sigh.

Lizzie68...if you mentioned it before, I must have missed it. What cabin or area are you in? Are you the only one having this hot water issue? Just curious because there are some of us who will be boarding Westerdam in the next few weeks.

So today we went on the Rissalena, a catamaran. About 16 people with 5 taking care of us. One even went in the water to keep an eye on things.

There wasn't anything they couldn't do for us and I highly recommend them

Some scenery on the way

Nice try, but the tres amigos don't look terribly cold, despite the fact they're covering with a lovely warm duvet. LOL

How nice that you've got friends onboard who happened to have a charger; that's one of the benefits of traveling with a group, someone's bound to have something that will bail you out . . . unless you happen to be in jail. :D

Oh, and the back yard continues to fill with snow - it's still coming down and has been for the past 5 hours.

Smooth Sailing! :) :) :)

That's odd. Never had anyone blink an eye when I use pesos. Maybe I look like a local:D.

It really does get cold when you round the rocks in cabo.

thanks :) hopefully I can access this one better. I think my webmail uses too much something for the internet although I have had no problems in the past. Might be something going on with their system. I will be asking when I get home as I never had difficulties before

You have mail. :) (4/27 not 4/26) Hopefully it gets to you faster than the last one.

I will post the cabin number when we are at the end of the cruise. But I have to say that we have had hot water for almost 3 days now, yay!!!

uggher on the snow. I know it will still be on the deck but I was really hoping that our front yard would be clear and the back dry for the dogs - sounds like that's not going to happen!

glad we left - I as done with the snow.

back from formal night and we are TIRED.

amazing what sun and water can do to you. We had a fantastic day on the Risslaena and then went strolling and bargaining with Mumsy and her DH and had a fun time. stopped at a nice spot and we got some munchies and some cerveza. OMG I have never seen such big calamari in my life!

It was a great day.

I really hate tenders but the Westerdam did it quite well. They had 6 running so it didn't take long to get people off with 500 at a time :) Mumsy became out cabin mates for tender purposes and we easily walked off and were on the tenders and onto Los Cabos in no time. Very easy and we trundled along the board walk/marina for 20 minutes until we arrived at the Rissalena.

She's a very pretty little catamaran and then lakeswmr arrived and we were all set.

A great trip - lots of seals, pelicans and the fish when we went snorkelling! OMG! I am not a great snorkeller and gave up the mask and fins for just looking. The water was so clear that you could see right through.

And despite being told there were jelly fish, there were none. These guides no where they are and they don't take you there.

Fabulous day.

After that we got together for the sail a way and then I had to deliver those meet and greet invites. Most people walk the promenade deck, I walk the inside - LOL. I swear this ship is getting longer.

Tomorrow is a quiet sea day (yeah, right!) meet and greet in the late morning (yay for late), suite luncheon, roll call wine tasting with our cellar master Ingo and then off to the Pinnacle for dinner.

Dancing with the stars is tomorrow night and if our roll call member is in it, we will all be there cheering.

I fear I will not get much packing done tomorrow - good thing we don't get off until Vancouver!

thanks for following along.

The Sail a Way gang seems to be having a good time from what I can see and hear :)

There is a sunrise service this morning out on the sea view pool deck for the 100th anniversary of AnZac Day. It begins at 6:30.

Are there several Australia and New Zealand passengers on board that the ANZAC service was held?

Services were held yesterday (April 25th) throughout Australia and New Zealand, at Gallipoli 10,000 gathered for services, Prince Charles and Prince Harry attended.

At dinner I was told about a seal that would get up on the platform on the back of a fishing boat and wait to be fed. I can't remember his name. I was really surprised when I uploaded my pictures and I had gotten a picture of him (it was one of those days that was so bright that you really couldn't tell what you had).

Sorry about the size. It seems ever time I use tapatalk, the picture is a different size.

LOL - I don't know if there will ever be another "Sail a Way Gang" cruise, but a few of us have booked the Westerdam next year for the Hawaii, Tahitit Marquesas cruise of April 2, 2016

hoping more will be lured on as time goes by.

e

I'm not part of this "gang" but will be on the 2016 cruise. Looking forward to meeting you then. I'm following along here to learn about HAL and the ship.

Enjoy. Alice
