Thanks Cruzin-K! (my browser isn't letting me quote to reply for some reason)

Is it just showing you a blank box?

If so, that happens to me a lot also.

I have not been able to convince the powers that be at Cruise Critic that this problem is happening.

Yes, that's exactly what was happening! Glad it wasn't just me.

But today, I can quote again. Curiouser and curiouser.

I find certain posts end up with the blank box but most posts do not.

If a post ends up with the blank box, it will continue that way no matter how many times I try.

I just seen this thread and am jumping for joy that that are not going to mess up the Coral! She is a beautiful ship just the way she is laid out and we are looking forward to sailing on her next August.

Thank you Princess for leaving her alone and letting us enjoy her as she was made.

I had that exact problem (in addition I noticed that the threads I had visited no longer turned red).

I discovered that if I used a link to a subscribed thread (instead of logging in direct) everything worked. So now, I always keep a notice from a subscribed thread in my inbox. Try it:D

I am planning a cruise on Coral in Alaska in July 2016. Does anyone know of any updates to the decision to postpone the Coral "butcher" renovations for early 2016? I've been reading all the complaints about the Island and now wonder what the Coral will look like in summer of 2016. I see maintenance scheduled for January 2016, and current deck plans are same as the old. Can I assume that nothing will be changed when I board in late July?

All your questions were answered upthread from Post #15 onward. Ignore the outdated information in the earlier six-week-old posts. With issues as fluid as drydock dates and refits, bumping a thread dormant for a month usually only results in confusion.

Guess again. Check the deck plans on the Princess site. If you are sailing after March 6, 2016 the plans show the same hack job that the Island is getting.

Bummer. Sailed on both on them and loved them when they were first christen.

Go look at the hack job Celebrity has done to the M class of ships in their fleet. Lots of public space gone for more cabins and a couple of fee restaurants.

Yes, we are quite happy that they cancelled the changes. We got an email a little over a week ago touting "new" Panama Canal cruises offered in February 2016 with $310 per person on board credit and free gratuities for balcony cabins and above. Plus the extra casino discounts were applied too. Sold! We'll be on her at the end of February.

I just checked Coral sailing on Princess's web site. No sailing is listed from 1/16 to 1/30. Is the ship going into dry dock or being charted? I have friends sailing on her 1/6. If she is going into dry dock, they may change to another Princess ship because they are afraid of the work not being completed on time.

I read this thread and it seems to be dry dock. But I don't see it listed on Princess.

Princess does not have a list of when ships are in dry dock.

This is true. But even the most cursory scan of the multiple threads on Coral should have revealed to the previous poster that:

Coral Princess was originally scheduled for a six week drydock to perform the same refit done to Island;

The major refit was cancelled and the drydock shortened to the two weeks in question;

The only known significant change to occur is the replacement of Sabatini's with the new Curtis Stone restaurant.

But as this member---or excuse me, their friend :rolleyes:--is sailing the cruise before the drydock their concern about the work being completed on time baffles me. Perhaps they meant to ask about work starting prematurely as has been reported on past pre-refit cruises. (I wouldn't concern myself either way about before or after a routine drydock as this)

I went to http://www.princess.com and did a cruise search for Coral for the month of 1/16. It show two sailing one on 1/6 for 10 night and the other on 1/30 (which friends are going on). There was nothing in between theses sailing.

What do you think? I could not fine any sailings other than those dates.

It is my friend. I am on Regal 1/10 (can't wait). I have read that at times the work has not been completed on time and there has been work still on going as it sails.

Our friends can still change ship if they want too. But Coral is a nice size ship for them, in terms of walking (smaller ship).
