Cabin Differences

I am about to take my first cruise . I am in an inside cabin set up by my travel agent. I have noticed that there are several levels of inside cabins with different designations. They seem to have the same sq. footage, what is the differences. I am asking for my information only. Thank you.

Location, location, location is the operative difference within the same class of cabin.

Higher decks usually cost more, closer to the middle of the ship (as opposed to bow or stern) usually costs more.

All above information is 'on the money' The higher you go the more the cost. The more center of the ship you go, the higher the cost. Happy travels!

A "quiet cabin" - one not immediately above or below a noise source: theatre, galley, pool deck, elevator lobby. -- you name it - is also likely to cost more than one which people would want to avoid because of noise.

On most ship's, all cabins within a "category" are identical. Some may have a sofa bed or pullman for extra people. But location is the main distinction!

Thank you for your responses. Now that I think about it I should have known it was location. My TA put me on deck 10 at a good price, I am looking forward to the trip.

On your first cruise cabin isn't as important in my opinion, you are just so caught up in all the newness.
