what to do with luggage after cruise while spending the day touring b4 eve flight?

We are doing a cruistour ending in vancouver, so we are planning on spending the day touring the city before our evening flight home, what do we do with our luggage? is there a way to get it to the airport? :)

How are you touring? If you have a rental car, put your things in the trunk. If you're on a tour bus, your luggage goes with you.

coming off a cruise, no rental car, not sure exactly what we are doing yet, possibly using public trans to tour on our own, walking around, etc. but would rather not lug around large suitcases.

You have few choices but certainly lots of cruisers face the same circumstance.

You could book a 'day room' at a hotel which would provide you a place to leave the luggage and where you could clean up before going to the airport. You didn't say your flight time so don't know exactly how late a flight you have as pertains to checking out of the hotel.

u can go to any large hotel chain and ask if you can store your luggage with their bellman for couple of hours. they might charge a small fee, since this service is usually for their own guests, but it's definitely cheaper than booking a room.

Some port terminals have a service that allows you to check bags for a day. We did that in Seattle for $3 a bag but the luggage needed to be picked up by 3:30. That might work for an early evening flight, but not a 10PM.

Did it last summer, we booked the Big Pink bus as a Holland excursion with luggage transfer. Dropped the bags off with them at Canada Place then picked them up at airport before the flight.

 

I splurged on a few hours at Plaza Premium before the red eye flight home. It was more than worth it, simply for dinner and the chance to clean up.

There is a hotel right at the cruise terminal in Vancouver--I think it's the Pan Pacific. Give them a call and see if their bell desk will hold your luggage for you even if you aren't a guest. If not, they may be able to suggest an alternative.

Some ports offer the ability to check your luggage as you get off the ship with a company that will transfer it to the airport and meet you there with your luggage. Some ports offer luggage storage. Large hotels can store luggage as well - for example, you might go to the spa in the Pan Pacific hotel in Vancouver or have lunch there (I highly recommend their smoked salmon pizza!)
