Thank you Jane! I borrowed your animal photos for my print photo album. The look a lot better than mine. I borrowed your crocodile photo, too. Thanks. ;)

For some reason Bill is standing in everyone's Macaw photos. :D Our friends from Norway sent a photo of the macaws, and there is Bill...photobombing. :D

Sunday ~ May 10, 2015 ~ Mother's Day ~ At Sea

Slept in a little today.....another day of rest. Happy Mother's Day!

DSC08008_zpssmgo1pj7.jpg

DSC08007_zpsyjuq01bt.jpg

The CL was not busy at all this morning.....finally!!! I was proud that I had gone this long without demagnetizing my sea pass card. But it happened today. I was using a lot of cameras yesterday and had them around my neck where my sea pass card was, so that must have done it. Diego made a new one for me.

Breakfast was really crowded again. Sat with a couple from Virginia that were newly Diamond. There were a lot of things that they didn't know, so we filled them in!!

Back to CL for coffee......back to cabin for R&R. There was an Alpha Alpha Alpha call this morning. Always hate to hear that. Found out later that a 56 year old somewhat healthy man had a stroke. The Captain informed us later in the afternoon that we were speeding up and we would medevac him the next morning in the Accapulco harbor around 6 AM. What a shame.

Had a late lunch in the WJ. The food here has been really good.

Our roll call group had a game of Bunco scheduled for this afternoon. Another game I've never played. I thought this would be a good time to learn. It's not really hard at all, but when you are going over the directions, it seems so complicated. Once we started playing.....it was a piece of cake! I'll have to thank Bernadette (Colorado Babe) for organizing this.

DSC08011_zpscqikzfzp.jpg

It was a lot of fun even though I didn't win any of the prizes.

Walked right in to the dining room tonight. Another new menu. It was just OK. The dessert was the best part.

DSC08028_zpsnkttk5gw.jpg

After dinner .......we changed clothes and got comfortable. Our clothes are starting to get uncomfortable! Even our comfortable clothes are getting tight! Yikes! We head off for the Love and Marriage Show.

DSC08030_zpsrxshpilk.jpg

It was good show again. This one was better than the one on the last cruise.

DSC08033_zpshxpt3dqf.jpg

Went to the casino after that......should have kept walking. All the money I put in tonight was sucked back in to those silly machines!

We grabbed our iPads and tried to get online. We were able to get a little e-mail, but the Wi-Fi has been pretty poor this whole cruise. So I just played around with ceiling shots!!

DSC08035_zps7cqlcqah.jpg

Happened to catch Skiergirl and Mr. Ski in the elevator!!

DSC08037_zpsjnpcsp3m.jpg

It was really late when we got to bed!

I agree with you about Quest on the smaller ships being better. My favorite Quest was on the Jewel. We joined our dining room table mates for a team and won 2nd place. Congrats on the win! :)

For some reason' date=' they added a Men vs. Women hula hoop contest at the end. Our very own Bernadette won that for us. We had the most points in the game by far......but everyone was given a medal!! Great fun! This beats Quest on the big ships by 100 miles!!!!

Our fabulous Team Number 1!!!

After this, we retired for the evening! Still some dancing going on in the Centrum:

Good Night!

Monday ~ May 11, 2015 ~ At Sea

Another restful day!

We got to the entrance of the harbor in Acapulco around 6:15. You could feel the ship totally stop. They wouldn't go into the harbor because of the threat level there. I looked out but couldn't see anything because it was so hazy. The stroke patient was transferred to a small boat about 6:30. I saw some amazing pictures from a fellow passenger later.

Breakfast was wonderful! Did I say I love to eat breakfast!?

When I went to the CL after breakfast, it was nice and quiet. I witnessed an elderly gentleman come in and talk to Diego. He was making all kinds of ridiculous complaints. I was just astounded at some of the things he was complaining about. Diego was really great with him. Sometimes we don't realize all the stuff the staff has to put up with.

Found Maks in a closet getting ready to go to work!

DSC08042_zpsqrcm7rig.jpg

Went to lunch really early today because we were having dinner at 5:30 (ridiculous hour for dinner!) with Rosa, the Guest Services Manager. Again, WJ food was pretty good. Another reason our clothes aren't fitting too well about now......eating this every day!!!

DSC08043_zpsl2es0un8.jpg

Got a lot of reading done this afternoon. We pretty much did absolutely nothing today and it made me feel lousy!

So we met in the Schooner Bar at 5:15 for drinks. We knew most of our tablemates already, so that was nice. It was a great group. Rosa was a fabulous hostess.....one of the best "Meals with an Officer" that we have had.

We had a choice of a black or white napkin:

DSC08044_zpsw4gqygy1.jpg

I started with a shrimp ceviche, then had a Caesar salad.

DSC08050_zps9uckomd7.jpg

I chose surf and turf for my entrée:

DSC08051_zpsurb7nyjq.jpg

And this was dessert......it was pretty lame compared to the desserts we've had at this dinner before. But I'm not complaining!

Jane,

It looks like you had a different person handling MTD than for our cruise. Our's was a woman (who I am embarrassed to say I didn't get her name :o). We had a standing reservation at 6 but showed up anywhere from 5:45 to 6:15 and she handled it like a pro. No delays and always seated in the same area.

It is a real delight when a ship know how to handle MTD.

Dinner was over so early that we had plenty of time to go back to the CL for an after dinner drink.

DSC08057_zpsaqysitiu.jpg

We let Alice and Bernadette use our private elevator!

DSC08059_zpsfltxmyd3.jpg

( One night I pulled a lady that we didn't even know into our picture. She thought it was so funny......but wouldn't you know it......My memory card was full!)

We went to a comedian's show but he was terrible.

DSC08060_zpsgo6osmyg.jpg

We ended up.....where else......but the casino! But no reported earnings this evening! Just fun with friends.

We have always had good luck with My Time Dining on the Jewel. They really know how to do it.

Same sea day routine......CL....breakfast.....back to CL. Tried to use the internet, but everything was all jammed up.

Lunch in the WJ....good as usual.

There was a BBQ out by the pool, but we didn't go to that.

More "at sea" stuff:

DSC08074_zpszxar1lbb.jpg

This afternoon our roll call group had another golf tournament scheduled, but the ship was having a tournament at the same time. So Skiergirl and I played by ourselves. We had fun. We played 18 holes and we tied!

I ran into Joseph bringing all the liquor down to the CL!

We tried to get into the show tonight but there was no way to get a seat......so we just retired to our cabin.

Wednesday ~ May 13, 2015 ~ Cabo San Lucas

Finally land again!!!

We saw the famous rocks early.....beautiful......and looked like a beautiful day!

We were in port with a Disney ship.

Visited in the CL this morning.....lots of folks in there!! Then on to breakfast around 8.

We met up with Alice, Jerry, and Bernadette at 9:30 and go on down to deck 3 to catch a tender. We thought we had waited long enough for the crowds to be gone, but that was not the case. It took a little while for this process today. Some tempers were flaring, unfortunately.

Our tender ride was not so smooth! We left much later than you and it took forever to load the tender because of the swells. They had to keep waiting for the boat to even up. One person boards. Wait for the boat to rise and lower about 4 feet! Jump on quick while you can.

Finally got my computer problems cleared up (new computer as the one I had would not start when we got home from the cruise). So I could enjoy your review.

I thought that the pictures in posts 125 & 126 would make good art for you to sell to RCI for some free cruises.

Enjoyed the Panama Canal -- as I emailed and Facebook posted, we watched you go through the canal on the webcam. Caught the ship around the Mira Flores bridges and then watched you go through the lower lock. Very cool.

I'm glad there were pictures posted in this thread of the construction. Once this is done, it will really impact Charleston, Savannah and other East Coast and Gulf Coast ports.

We were getting ready to go down to the tenders about ~11:30. Bill was out on the balcony and came in to say that there was a crash and screams. One of the tenders was caught in the swells and tilted into the tender platform, and sustained damage to the roof.

That was when we moved parallel to the Disney ship to try and block some of the wave action.

They halted tendering for over an hour, maybe two. When it was resumed, we went down and talked to the people that were getting off the tender. Apparently they had been bobbing around the ship for the whole time that tendering was stopped.

They weren't very happy.

We decided not to get off. I don't jump very well. :)
