texasreb Posted February 3, 2018 #1426 Share Posted February 3, 2018 Just back from 7 day cruise. Got a certificate for Oceanview cabin. On the back are only listings for 4 to 5 day cruises on the older, smaller ships. My friend got a cert for INSIDE. On the back of it are multiple 7 day cruises on the modern ships. What gives with this ? Is this usual for Royale Casino ? This seems rather stinko to me. Like a ROYAL jip con job !

What gives with this ? Is this usual for Royale Casino ? This seems rather stinko to me. Like a ROYAL jip con job ! I never bother with the ones on the back, I just ring them and if I have a cruise in mind how much it would be with the cert, if I don't have one in mind ask them which ones they can comp with the cert. I was told the ones on the back are just an idea of which you can have comped, you can book any cruise you want but you may have to chip in towards the room. I have 2 cruises with casino certs coming up, both 7 nights both oceanview balcony cabins. allure was comped so only paid $400 for taxes and grats for 2 people, oasis was partly comped had to pay $200 plus the $400 taxes and grats. It all depends on the cost of the cruise when you ring. Since then I've also phoned and had $406 price drop on oasis that they put as obc as is paid in full. texasreb Posted February 3, 2018 #1429 Share Posted February 3, 2018 VIP drinks in the casino. The rep I just spoke with said once 1,000 points is earned. Good for 365 days. New program might change that, but he didn't think so.

New program might change that, but he didn't think so. I assume they mean your next cruise would have to be within 365 days and its not good for every cruise you have booked for the next 365 days? Hubby got 1000 pts on our Nov 2017 cruise so we know he has free drinks on our cruise next month. We assumed he would not get them on our April cruise unless he got 1000pts again next month? Milwaukee Eight Posted February 4, 2018 #1432 Share Posted February 4, 2018 VIP drinks in the casino. The rep I just spoke with said once 1,000 points is earned. Good for 365 days. New program might change that, but he didn't think so. This was not my experience. I had plenty of points on a July 2017 cruise but after September 2017 Freedom Presidents Cruise out of Barcelona, which was very Port intensive, so very little time to play, I didn’t get 1000 pts. On my December 2017 cruise, I was told by Host I didn’t qualify for the VIP sticker so no drinks, as I didn’t have 1000 pts on my previous cruise. texasreb Posted February 4, 2018 #1433 Share Posted February 4, 2018 Another "it all depends who you talk to". My other cruising friend said they were allowed cold drinks onto their RCL ship. Just to make sure I phoned in. The rep I spoke with said "no". I arrive at Galveston cruise terminal. Ask first RCL person I see about drinks. "sure no problem but for alcohol". I would have brought my cane sugar Dr. Pepper and Coca-cola ! Just looking back at the last few posts...... does anyone at RCL know what they are doing ? That goes to those aboard ship too. The answer to that is no lol. No one has a clue what they are doing lol, they give you the answer someone else gave them it's like a game of Chinese whispers both on-board and on the phone. 🤣🤣 Sent from my SM-G930F using Forums mobile app
texasreb Posted February 4, 2018 #1435 Share Posted February 4, 2018 I recommend you simply call Club Royale and ask them if they have any offers for you in May. That's the easiest thing to do. 888-561-2234. I have a calendar with the events on it and according to this calendar, the May 2018 events are: May 13 - Liberty - $15K slot tournament May 26 - Anthem - Golf Tournament May 28 - Empress - Destination Havana This is all that I am aware of. Good luck I called the above phone number. I was asking for the May 13 cruise. I was told No. I did book Sept 23 balcony cabin, but that is not a casino event. Sent from my iPhone using Forums I asked for a comped cabin, and no was the reply. They did not offer a discount. I did not ask. They offered that other dates were available. I think anything after August. I took the Sep 23 balcony cabin. Paid the $186 tax/port fee.

BEENSAILING Posted February 10, 2018 #1441 Share Posted February 10, 2018 Golf Cruise question - for those who have done the Golf Cruise previously - do they do awards on the ship or at the Golf course after the day of golfing? Has anyone been to the Port Royal Golf Course?
peymas Posted February 10, 2018 #1442 Share Posted February 10, 2018 We were taken through the golf course on a tour, but haven’t played there. It looked very nice. Would have liked to take that cruise, but It didn’t work on date. Did anyone do the Golden Egg Hunt cruise last year?? How does it work? That will be the 24th of next month. Life is Good Cruising Posted February 10, 2018 #1443 Share Posted February 10, 2018 Golf Cruise question - for those who have done the Golf Cruise previously - do they do awards on the ship or at the Golf course after the day of golfing? Has anyone been to the Port Royal Golf Course? Hi Cheryl, Have not been to Port Royal Golf course. We've only played once in the Golf event, which was Oct 2015. That year Liberty cruised to Canada instead of Bermuda out of Bayonne due to Hurricane Joaquin heading straight to Bermuda prior to our sailing. We're not golfers so I give up my invite every year, but still book the sailing to see Andy. Usually the same players are invited back each year and they're all nice people and we have and had a lot of fun with them. Don't know if you know, Port Royal is a PGA course and I've been told by many of the players that it has some stunning ocean views and the 16th hole is the signature hole. There's a cocktail party on the first night (which I still attend, event though we're not playing) where they select the teams. When we played, they gave us all a nice golf shirt and a goody bag that night. We had a great time and Club Royale went above and beyond for us that year due to the change of itinerary at the last minute, we were all wowed. When we played that year, "everything" was included from transportation, balls, clubs, green fees, shoes and golf carts for every 2 players and we all played 18 holes. I believe there may be a small cost involved to players now. Prizes are awarded on board and I think they were given out the next night. All names were thrown into a drawing for prizes and special prizes were also issued for certain categories, i.e. long drive by a man and a woman, etc. Some of the prizes I remembered were, golf clubs, like big berta, some good $ was issued for slot play, like $500, $1000 and $1500 slot play dollars, golf balls (which we won), golf gloves, golf bags, etc and the grand prize was a 3 or 4 nights comped at the Bellagio. If you're a golfer, it's really a good event to attend. Yes, I knew you would ask, Andy is always on that sailing with his wife Dawn and he does perform in the casino a few night and has that place rocking, people are dancing in the casino. Currently we are booked on the sailing prior to the event, don't know if we'll be able to make that sail date this year, time will tell. I heard you wanted my email, it's heartlcrc@aol.com

I could not make the golf cruise last time but I am planning on going in May. (I thought about Sept. date but thought the weather would be better in May.) According to the invitation I received there is no cost - included is my stateroom, golf tournament entry fee for one, comp green fees and cart, transportation, reception and pairings party... And (of course) nice to know Andy will be performing! Thanks for the email address. And I hope you decide to go... would be nice to see you again... snoope Posted February 11, 2018 #1448 Share Posted February 11, 2018 I’ve earned two comp balcony cruises after only cruising twice. Daghis Posted February 11, 2018 Author #1450 Share Posted February 11, 2018 @snoope: Are you receiving emails from Club Royale? Although Club Royale does often send out physical mailings as well, I typically find out about these invitational events in email first.
