Casino players promo

All HAL Blackjack tables are dealt from a shoe to my knowledge. If you're a rated player with any of the lines in the Carnival Corp family, that rating travels with you, but not to other corporations, i.e NCL. I'd make sure your VIP rep contacts the ship.

Thanks :)

He got back to me about my cash rebate and said he'd have it applied so that I can get it on the Koningsdam. So basically I'll be starting $1,800 UP !

Any time I get a rebate like that, I know I made a sizable donation...

My sister, who has cruise on HAL once, received a Casino Guest Offer email offering a complimentary interior stateroom on select European cruises. She forwarded the email to me asking if it was real.

She should definitely call. After joining this board and reading this thread, I told my friends who have cruised on HAL 3 times about looking into a Casino deal. They gamble about $100 a day while crushing. They never thought about it and would throw away offers, thinking they weren't for real. They are getting married on the Eurodam and booked the Neptune Suite. They received a letter a week before final payment and had planned to ignore it. I told them to call. They were able to get $2400 off their final payment!!!!

I emailed the HAL Club 21 rep a week ago and mentioned that I had played Blackjack for 11 days in January on the Oo'dam, at more-than-enough-dollars per hand to warrant their attention, and what did I have to do to get one of the offers I keep reading about? My PCC called me today and said he couldn't figure out why the fare for our Neptune booked aboard the Eurodam next January dropped precipitously overnight with no explanation. We were already on a casino promo that helped a little, but when I told him about my email, he started laughing. Evidently the squeaky wheel got greased!

Oh I have no doubt the offer is legit, but she can't get the time off to go. I just wish I would get an offer like that! She cruises once with HAL and didn't spend much in the casino and gets an offer?

Nice! The squeaky wheel definitely got greased this time!

A month ago, I emailed my PCC to ask about any discounts on a 2017 Eastern Mediterranean Cruise. She said I was eligible for a 20% ($1200) casino discount. I accepted the offer.

When I add up the mariner points from our last cruise, they must have either done a tremendous round up or counted the casino charges! We have never been offered free drinks while gambling and I have not even seen anyone asking if you wanted a drink!

I agree - on our last cruise (which you were on) we played mostly 3 card poker. Everytime we sat down at the table we charged about $200 per night on our card. We were given mariner point credits at the end of the cruise. That's one of the main reasons we charge it to the room as opposed to playing with cash.

As far as free drinks - we don't drink alcohol but they always ordered a bottle of water for us as soon as we sat down. We never had to ask after the first night.

Myself, my husband and my sister were on a 12 med cruise last year. We stayed in Neptune suites for the typical amount you would pay for a Neptune. I played roulette, my sister played black jack(and played more money) and my husband played slots. I probably played a few hours a night and usually started with forty dollars and played till I lost or was up but tired. I would say the same is true for my husband and sister. I received a deal for a Neptune for a 12 night Baltic for 25% of what we paid last year. So basically 75% off. Fortunately the timing works and the flights were cheap and we are going. When I called to book I asked what my husband discount was and it was about 50% and my sisters was 25% off the typical Neptune fare. They said there is no rhyme or reason behind the casino offers, basically like the upsells and upgrades. Very happy to get the offer and that the kids are out of school and we can go. The moral is the offer are real and definitely call but don't count on them.

Going on the May 18th RT 7 day Vancouver on the Volendam for $499 pp for a Neptune. The offers are legit, you just have to have the time to go on short notice and call them before they get snapped up. website list price for this cruise yesterday for a Neptune was $2799 pp!

My gambling budget for a cruise is usually $200 a night, every other night. Needless to say I'm felling pretty fortunate for a Neptune at just $499 npp for a 7 night cruise.

I think marking has decided they rather offer deep discounts close to departures for people who are going to drop some coin in the Casino instead of just clearinghouse sales to General Public. Just speculating here but I like getting rewarded for loyalty.

I am doing my first "free" casino cruise this month. I am headed to the Norwegian Fjords on May 17th. Upgraded to signature Suite for $339.

The deals are real. I just started receiving them last month. I hope they continue.

Heads up :) You may have a casino discount or promo even if you didn't get an offer.

We have received no correspondence or emails but when I inquired on a cruise I discovered we had casino promo "J". It gave us a nice discount on our cruise and does make a difference :)

So, if you do play in the casino, don't assume you don't have it. You can either ask your travel agent/pcc or input your mariner number on HAL's site. If you see a lower priced cruise then you most likely have it :)

We certainly got more of a discount that what I had "donated" to the casino :)

Just be aware that in every case I've seen, casino rates are in lieu of any other HAL promotions. I always check with my PCC to get fares with the casino deal and with other HAL promos so I can compare. So far I've found that we've been better off with the low "net" fare of the casino deal and paying for our drinks and other items another HAL promo might provide.

We recently booked a 49 day Transatlantic/Med cruise for October 2017. The price quoted on the online TA's website was a bit lower than HAL's price but included a nice OBC and free gratuities. We were happy with that, but when we got our written confirmation, the price was much lower - about $2000/pp - than we expected and it said it was a casino fare from HAL. Quite interesting since we have not sailed HAL since 2012, but that was a transatlantic where we played slots nearly every day. Didn't lose a whole lot...

I take advantage of a TAs promos after I've done my comparisons and booked with my HAL PCC. The net casino fare from HAL, combined with the TA OBC, etc., makes for a great deal. Enjoy your trip next year!

Not that I needed another excuse to gamble, I've been itching for months now to hit the tables! I usually gamble $200-$500 a day when I'm in Vegas, hopefully that will get me a nice future cruise!

It hasn't worked for me. There doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason on who gets casino perks although, from many posts, it appears to favor slot players.

Same thing happened to me in April. I didn't receive any notice of a casino fare until I was checking pricing with my PCC. Then again a week ago, I was checking the pricing again. No changes online, but when I called the PCC again, the rate had dropped we went from a 20% discount to a 25% discount on a trip for next summer.

The only 'slot' machine I play is video poker, and only $20/day...husband and I are table-game players but we have gotten some great casino offers from HAL the past two years.

We both are still working so not able to take advantage of many of the 'free stateroom' offers that we get as the timing is usually just 6 weeks out but we did get a good offer for the Zuiderdam cruise I have booked for next March. We were able to book our first SS category for less than the current price of a balcony. The rate was already loaded into our profile according to our PCC.

My PCC informed me that my casino discount was 30%. Does HAL casino promote free drinks after an alloted number of points?

Drink comps are at the manager or pit boss' discretion. I always introduce myself on the first day of the cruise and let them know I'll be one of their players. They have you on their system and this will prompt them to look you up and see what your "rating" is. I can't speak for slots, but table game players, as I am, are rewarded for the amount of their average bet and duration of play.

Just to add my experience...we are 2 Star Mariners, have cruised once a year with HAL for the last 3 or 4 years. I play slots only, never table games, and probably spend $50 or less on average per day. We did a 10 day Oosterdam cruise last January; I think we "donated" about $400 to the slots (win a little, lose a little more!).

In March, we booked our next cruise, 7 day on the Eurodam sailing on Dec. 31st. When I emailed out TA, she informed me that we had a "casino rate" on our account, which reduced our VB category verandah by $340 per person. This was not evident to me when logged on to HAL's site checking prices, so it was a nice surprise!

We also received a casino discount on our upcoming Nieuw Amsterdam cruise which amounted to approx. $400 (Canadian) per person. I was told by the HAL phone rep that these discounts are available ONLY if you call to book your cruise and not available online.
