Yes, this was the Biography Channel, on our Verizon Cable it's channel 629 in HD.

 

I'm sure this episode will appear again due to their many reruns.

That would definitely be a colossal ship & the narrator excitedly said everything.

 

Where did you hear or read 350,000 passengers?

 

I listened to my recording of the program and at the beginning it said "with over three & a half thousand" passengers.

 

The FYI description of this episode says it's 3,700 passengers.

Being produce by a London based company I believe that is how they describe things across the pond & also how former British colonies would say it.

I was channel surfing last night and found this show. Missed the first 5 minutes or so but was glad I found it! Interesting.

 

Astro Flyer - thanks for the link. I just watched what I missed. I did notice that the head guy showed us about the scallops and he was touching them as they cooked etc with his bare hands !! Everyone else seemed to be wearing gloves.

We started watching it on line but had to sit through the commercials. :eek: So I'm recording it on the TV to watch later and FF through the advertisements.
