Excursion Pricing Children Same as Adults..Another web glitch or another change?

Just happen to notice that for my May cruise..all excursions have same prices for children and adults...another website glitch or yet another NCL policy change:confused::confused:

Not sure what cruise/port you are looking at? I just checked all of the excursions for my December cruise and there are a few (always have been) that adults and children pay the same. But the majority have children's pricing that is half to three quarters of the adult fare.

All the excursions for my Oct 31st Getaway 12 day have adults and children the same price.

My sailing in January have children prices and adult prices. A few of them are the same price as adult price but almost all have the lower child's price.

What would you think this might a change in poiicy? A lot of excursions charge the same for kids as adults, with kids under 3 maybe being less. Some do have chilrens rates, but it depends on the situation.

The excursion I was going to book on the Escape in St. Thomas was the Twice As Nice Catamaran 2-stop snorkel. The children USED to be $50 CDN, now they are $74 CDN.

On all my cruises on any line, I've only seen a few excursions that have different prices for adults vs kids.

Thanksgiving week Norwegian Dawn. The Belize excursions are all the same. The adult and kids pricing used to be different when we booked, now they are the same. I am going to call and find out.

There has always been a few with different prices but not most of them.

I have never booked an excursion where the kids weren't cheaper. So I guess I'm lucky or simply don't book enough excursions.

If you're booking excursions through the ship instead of privately, you're doing it wrong...

call shore excursion department and ask. I called yesterday to book ours and all of them had child prices.

Well, THAT explains it, then! The system doesn't recognize who are children or who are adults. Same as when you book the cruise online in the first place - it doesn't care who are children or adults. Same thing when specialty restaurants were booked in the past (back when kids were 1/2 price) - you'd have to pay in full when booking, and fix it on the ship later.

 

This appears to be doing the same thing. Well, at least they are consistent. haha

I agree, there are many that have a different or no charge for kids under 3, but many have the same price for kids and adults, especially the ones over the family holidays. I can understand that.
