Disembarkation Time

Within minutes of whenever your ship is cleared by the port authorities if you are carrying your own luggage off. Customs and Immigration officials can take anyplace from an hour - lots of ships entering your port on that day or having a slow down - to walk off with nothing as in Italy. That one all depends. No idea where or when you are disembarking to give anything more definitive.

Instead of sitting around in a lounge waiting, when we want to be last off the ship we prefer to wait out on an open upper deck where we can watch all the activity taking place down below..

As previously stated, the final announcement for all remaining passengers to leave the ship usually comes sometime between 9:30 and 10:30, but occasionally may be delayed until later.

All remaining passengers are required to leave then, regardless of where on the ship you are waiting.

An exception would be for passengers who participate in the optional "Extend Your Stay" program, when it is offered.

Extend Your Stay (scroll down)

Personally, I would rather get a day room at a hotel instead.

I seem to recall reading in another thread that "extend your stay" was given free as a perk with upper suites

I received this from X staff regarding the specialty dining: "The amenities had changed after April 2015, so Royal suites do get unlimited complimentary Specialty dining, internet, fitness classes, Bingo Jackpot card packets (6-card), mini bar and Premium beverage package. Daily delivery of afternoon savories, bottle of Vodka, scotch or gin with mixers and the ability to extend your stay without having to pay. There is a bottle of wine in your stateroom to welcome you onboard and a Helipad Sail away party. "

On our last couple of cruises we have not been in a rush to get off. We have breakfasted leisurely, left the suite by 9am (butler said do not rush but we know how much they have to do so would not stay later), went to Michael's for a last coffee and farewell to fellow suite guests and staff, then escorted by conceirge to luggage collection before joining in passport queue.

Never tried the extend your stay programme, I think it may only be certain ports. It could be useful for us on our next cruise as we may have quite a wait to check in at our hotel...it would be great if someone could come back and say if this is a port specific/suite specific perk.

We are disembarking in Miami but will have cleared immigration in Port Canaveral previously.

As answered in the other thread, it depends on how many others have also booked Celebrity transportation and what time your flight is.

Typically expect disembarkation times between 7:30 and 9. You'll have to collect your luggage and go through Customs and Immigration and the lines can be long. what time is your flight?

My flight is at 5:30pm...I know, a long long wait! I'm thinking of either switching the transportation for a post cruise excursion where they drop you at the airport after or getting a day room at a local hotel.
