CruiserBruce Posted October 18, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 18, 2015 (edited) The far better place for your research would be the Columbia board, here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=500 Edited October 18, 2015 by CruiserBruce
JimAOk1945 Posted October 19, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 19, 2015 (edited) Arriving on March 8, 2016 Island Princess. Been reading reviews on tours to see the Monastery, Fort and Old City. Any good suggestions not there very long. Ship leaves at 3:00 P.M. We were on the Island Princess last December for a Partial Transit cruise and had a fantastic experience. Cartegena is a beautiful city! We enjoyed it more than any of the other ports of call. We went on an excursion called 'Old City' & Folkloric Show by Dance Company. It is 4 hours long. You might enjoy seeing my wife's website where she posted slideshows with pictures she took on our cruise. She got some wonderful pictures of each shore excursion which we booked through the Princess website prior to our cruise. The link below will take you right there. Panama Canal Partial Transit Cruise Cartegena is quite warm so I suggest doing your excursion in the morning if possible. As mentioned above, the Columbia board is a great place to ask questions and get advice. Happy cruising! spirit rev Posted October 19, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 19, 2015 We have been here twice. Both times we did a tour with Claudia. The first time was with a group of about 16. The second with a group of 8. We enjoyed her tour and found her communication was excellent when setting up the tour and during the tour. Of course, on the smaller tour we were able to ask more questions and actually get to know her. She is willing, within time constraints, to modify the tour to meet your desires. Both times we were there she picked us up at the pier and we were leaving before any of the ship excursions. No problem getting back to the ship on time. cirman52 Posted October 19, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 19, 2015 Love that city. For something a bit different, try the Segway tour, great fun & enjoyable way to see the old city.

Rare chemmo Posted October 19, 2015 #7 Share Posted October 19, 2015 ....great way to get the flavour of the old town. Watch you choose a reputable company with a good record of animal care.
dorisis Posted October 20, 2015 #8 Share Posted October 20, 2015 You might want to check your roll call for more info on tours. Find your ship then your sailing date. You could also check Trip Advosor.
