175th Anniversary , did we miss something ?

Returned from the QM2 Quebec to NYC cruise and realized that other than

some 175th logo items in the shops , there was no special event or dinner recognizing the Anniversary ?

Or did we miss it ?

There was an Ascot Ball night but no notice of a night to dress in Cunard colors .We did have Cunard color clothing items with us anticipating what we read about Special 175th celebrations on every sailing .

The special 175 voyages with the free books and special commemorative menus were the Lusitania voyage in May, the three Queens in Liverpool in May and the crossing from Liverpool in July.

 

Although an email I received from Cunard last year did say:

Throughout the year celebratory gala dinners and special events on board can be enjoyed on every 2015 cruise

The 175 balls in October were on the 12th and 23rd

I was sold a celebratory half bottle of 175 labelled port by a Britannia waiter in July and I think I may have seen some 175 flags.

No. The black and white decorations were replaced by red, black, and gold. Not all that many passengers bothered to wear the Cunard colors, even on "THE" anniversary sailing from Liverpool.
