It's been a couple years so was just curious of any updates for those of you that have been to Port Everglades. Once our taxi drops us off, where do we go with our Platinum cards and what is the earliest we should arrive?

thanks for your help!

You won't have your platinum cards until you check in. But your status will be on the top of your boarding pass which you should printed out and have handy.

What time are you sailing? That will make a difference on boarding time.

Anyway, once you get into the terminal, you show your boarding pass to whoever is directing traffic and you'll be sent to the correct check in line.

There are two clearly marked lines, the one on the right is Platinum ,elite, suite. Your documents will give you a check in time but

If you arrive earlier it is not really a problem. The wait time seems to be shorter if you arrive early afternoon.

Correct. I wouldn't know about the lines being shorter in the afternoon - never could get me to wait that long to start the process so we show up at 10:30 and join the herd, get to the smaller staging area and onboard before noon.

Complete all your immigration & credit card information in the Cruise Personalizer and print your boarding passes and luggage tags. If you are willing to wait some you can arrive at the pier between 10:30 & 11am. Drop your luggage with the porters and walk over to the terminal. There will be shore staff there that will direct you to complete the health form, send you through security and direct you to the proper check in line where you will show your passports and get your cruise cards. There are times when the priority lines are actually longer than the non-priority lines. You can use either. Once checked in you will be directed upstairs to a seating area. Boarding normally starts around noon with special needs, full suite, elite, platinum, then all others. You should be on board by 12:30 or sooner. If you want a check in with less waiting arrive after 1pm.

We arrived at around 10:45am 3 weeks ago and the preferred line was about half the length of the regular line at that time. For those familiar with waiting outside, we were in the preferred line near the restrooms. The doors were opened around 11:10 am and they only opened the door for the preferred line which was very long by that time. Therefore all the check-in counters were for preferred at that time. I had never seen this before. I have no idea when they finally started allowing folks in the 'regular' line into the building but it was some time after we got through. We waited in the Elite lounge for about 15 minutes or so and were on the ship around noon.
