MJC Posted December 20, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 20, 2015 Is there a Panamanian version of Open Table for making dinner reservations in Panama City? If not, what is the best way to do so? I speak a little bit of Spanish, but phone calls are daunting.
BillB48 Posted December 20, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 20, 2015 I'll be honest, I really don't know what Open Table is in either a US or Panama version. If you are looking to make reservations at a restaurant, it really won't be hard to find an English speaker, English is widely spoken, particularly in the commercial sector. While it might not be the first person you speak to on the phone, that's where your Spanish can get you through to the next person.
MJC Posted December 22, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted December 22, 2015 http://www.opentable.com/start/home Initially I was excited to see Panama City listed, but there is only one restaurant participating - Ruth's Chris Steak House. Why would I travel all the way to Panama just to eat there? I can be there by taxi in 10 minutes. :)
cb at sea Posted December 22, 2015 #4 Share Posted December 22, 2015 I think Ruth Chris is WAY over-rated, anyway!
Rare Keith1010 Posted December 22, 2015 #5 Share Posted December 22, 2015 I would figure out where you want to eat and then e mail the restaurant. We've done this before. Keith
