Rotterdam - difference between SB and SA

Hello. What is the difference between a Neptune SB and an SA? Is the SB smaller in size? We are 2A/2C so size matters. Can we also hope for a tub?

"SA" and "SB" Suites on Navigation Deck, on either side of the ship, are the same but for Handicap Cabins or aft facing. They have tub/shower combination.

Yes, cabin #'s B7067, B7065, AA7063, AA7061, AA7070, B7074 and B7076 on Navigation Deck are aft facing cabins.

Lido Deck has retreat and aft pool from Navigation Deck is gone and has been for years.

Look at the Cruise Atlas, 2014-2015 Rotterdam Deck Plan, page 201.

Same suite, just different location. That is, unless it is an aft wrap, then you will find a slightly smaller cabin with a much larger veranda.

Two implications that they are aft facing SA and SB suites on Rotterdam. That is what I was responding to.

Rotterdam doesn't have aft facing suites. The difference is location, and two SBs are handicap accessible.

Doesn't HAL call AA and B cabins Suites?

I believe they are Vista Suites,,,, aft facing Suites.

The SB we had was a smidge smaller than an SA - but we were on the hump and the veranda was bigger. The SB cabin was really well laid out though and other than a slightly shorter couch you wouldn't have really realized it was smaller because of the layout.

The main difference is usually location. There is a tub in most of the Neptune Suites. Handicapped cabins are the normal exception to the tub rule generally speaking.

There is no 'hump' on Rotterdam.

The hump is on the Vista and Signature Class ships.

The first time we sailed Rottredam, she was in her Inaugural Year and we did a New Years Cruise. At that time, all the currently called Neptune Suites were on Navigation Deck and were labeled as "S" Suites.

There were some category "A" cabins on Navigation deck and they then were referred to (casually) as mini-Suites.

The catgory "B" cabins were the same as the "A" cabins but were one deck down on Verandah Deck.

The verandahs in the "S"/Neptune Suites on Rotterdam are larger than the side of the ship Neptunes on Vista and Signature Class ships.
