The need to pay attention to point tracking

I was on a recent 2 night CTN on the Breakaway and the last night I went to the casino host and inquired how many points I accumulated. She said 276 points. I was like WHAT?????? That's impossible. I was looking at the machine and points showed around 2200 she said I don't know what you were seeing but you have 276 points. There was no way in hell I only had 276 points. We went back and forth for about 45 minutes. She finally called someone (a supervisor?) they figured out the computer was not refreshing or whatever and indeed I was correct with MY point total. I had started with 300 points from my previous cruise that was left over from last May so I atually had 1900 points from the 2 night cruise. If I had not pressured to figure it out I wonder what would have happened. Not only did I get my right points I leveled up to Hot, received my $50 bonus for leveling up and the casino picked up my bill for specialy dinners and drinks. If I had not made such a big deal I hate to think I would not have gotten all I ended up with.

Hi Geri. Had the same thing happen to me on my last NCL cruise

At that time I checked my points on like day 5 and they said I hardly had any ....I know there was a huge mistake either by the pit boss or the computer on the tracking....They said don't worry we'll fix it.....Well by the night of day 6 I still got the runaround....They had me down for way under in hours as well as I had played over 8-10 a day/night....Glad they finally took care of you...For me they did a half hearted attempt to appease me but it still never got fixed correctly

I still like NCL BUT jumped ship back over to Carnival where SO FAR my hours and points are 100% correct and they've been comping me Free ocean views and Casino cash( next cruise I get $1,000) plus the Free drinks like NCL does

I've talked with quite a few other casino players who've had the same problems w NCL and now r on Carnival as well...But IF Carnival screws up I'll try NCL again lol. The casino host has called me a few times with some pretty good deals

I like NCL because they have the best crap tables on the ocean. And I keep my points accurate.

Hi there,

can you tell me why you feel NCL has the best craps tables? I will be on the RCI Freedom of the Seas and I would be interested in any comparisons between cruise lines and their craps tables/games you could give me.

Thank you in advance

If I remember correctly NCL is 3x4x5x on the odds whereas RCI is single odds unless you're betting more than $25.

There is little benefit on a cruise when gambling. You are better off to go to Vegas and gamble...better odds...better "perks"!

That's a pretty sweeping statement. Don't recall any hotel/casinos in Las Vegas that sail on the oceans and arrive at places like Caribbean islands or Mediterranean ports. It's all a matter of what you want to do when you're not gambling.

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO cb at sea: The odds are about the same for table games. The odds are what they are. A difference is on the slot machines. There is no competition. You can't go off of one ship and go to the casino of another ship at sea. Some cruise lines are more generous than others when it comes to perks. But then again, I don't choose one cruise line over another because of a perk.

Correctamundo.....

I rarely play slots, especially on ships because you have No idea the percentage.

I play video poker. Its listed right on the screen. I look for best payschedule wherever I am..........Vegas or ship.
