Favorite Carnival Cruise/Memory of 2015

I thought it might be fun since we are wrapping up 2015 for everyone to post their favorite Carnival memory for this year, and for those fortunate enough to take multiple cruises a year to post their favorite Carnival cruise for the year. Anyone care to share?

I will start. My favorite Carnival cruise of this year was on the Sunshine. I was so convinced I wouldn't like the ship, but I loved it.

My favorite memory is so hard to choose because I have so many great ones, but I think the winner would be the Underground River excursion that we did on the Sunshine in Cozumel. It was so cool, and so much fun!!

Other good memories included watching the Magic sail away from Coz as the sun was setting, flipping my tube over during river tubing in Belize (it was hilarious how it happened), the monkey running down my shirt in Honduras (everyone watching got a good laugh out of that), and the pink sand beach of Bermuda. However, the underground river really takes the cake. :)

My favorite cruise was on the Sunshine - she is officially our favorite ship.

My favorite memory gets a tie - holding the sloth and watching my kids with him, in Roatan (Sunshine) and watching my boys faces as they opened their presents, particularly their new 3DS', last week on the Conquest.

I think you and I were on the same Sunshine sailing, I slept thru our M&G. :o She is my favorite ship right now as well, so much so that I have a short sailing on her booked for when she comes to Charleston in May!

Unfortunately my Carnival cruises this year were memorable in bad ways:

Valor- 2 Fire alarms, broken pipe in engine, very rocky ship 7 out of 8 days and we had perfect weather feel that something wasn't working properly on this ship, water pipe broke in back of our cabin wall

Fascination- constant horn noise when ship moved, could not get off in port as the noise stopped when the ship wasn't moving and needed sleep, we could not sleep at night because of that "fog horn" noise every other second and no nap in the daytime either because of the noise, was told the burgers were gluten free got sick....was told the orange cake in the MDR was gluten free it was not got sick again, lifeboat drill lasted nearly hour and a half and I was forced to walk up the stairs (asked to use elevator got denied....I live with fibromyalgia and lupus pains), we had FTTF our luggage did not arrive until after everybody else that didn't have FTTF got theirs, we boarded and right away made reservations for Chefs Table and was told they had seats available, needless to say the first evening in the MDR we were approached and told it was cancelled due to being overbooked.

Bartenders were excellent on both ships and the casino perks on our premier cruise on the Valor were nice. Any cruise is better than no cruise, but this year, Carnival disappointed, oh well....

I remember reading your posts about this- just insanely bad but you are still upbeat! And I learned a lot from your posts about paying attention to the food.

I would have to say that this moment was one of my favorite cruise moments of 2015 (it was a tough decision!! - had so many great memories!)

This was when my daughter realized that I just handed her a conch shell with a little surprise in it...an octopus! Hee-hee!!

Of course, just having the 3 of us together is an awesome memory too!!

This year I'd have to say our trip to Jamaica...we were on the Glory and our whole family went. We loved our tour and I got some great family photos..we also had a scenic OV on that trip

I want one of those cabins! I actually had one booked for Oct of 2016 but gave it up to switch to the Magic. Am I crazy?? Maybe another cruise I can get one. :)

2015 was full of medical stuff for DH and I so we didn't get to cruise. But I do have a favorite Carnival 2015 memory and that was finding out Christmas Day that our Alaska cruise was paid off and that DH had booked a quickie surprise cruise in just a few weeks!

Thats awesome about your surprise cruise, have fun!

Family 12/28/14 cruise on the breeze and NewYears Eve out on Lido with the vast majority of the ship counting down to 2015. Outstanding!

I bet that was awesome. I want to sail over New Years sometime.

Two cruises this year and each one gave me a great memory. Fantasy in January I hit a royal flush on let it ride. That will always be a great memory and my wife ordering a Coke Zero when they offered us a free drink. This summer we were on the Valor with lots of friends and my favorite memory of this cruise was watching our 72 year old friend dance during the sail away party.

One cruise for me also this year, Victory, last week of October. Best memory, was, and is; that I was able to squeeze one more cruise in, and may not be able to do any more for a while (I never say never:)), but between my own physical/health problems and having parents at home in their 80's who rely on me on a daily basis, cruises, or any vacation away from home for more than a day or two, is becoming less of an option for me.

But I did love my cruise on the Victory, and loved that I got to see Amber Cove, off the ship, thanks to the BIG TAXI, shuttles that were able to help me get off that LOOOOONNNG pier!:)

One more I just remember from my Victory cruise. I was relaxing one late afternoon at the aft pool, on a lounger, and a young girl, about 8yrs came up to me and asked if I was enjoying my cruise. I said yes, I sure am, and are you enjoying yours? Her smile will forever be etched in my memory. Yes, she said; I am having the time of my life! smile smile smile, and then she scampered off. That is really my most favorite moment on my Carnival cruise this year, that precious smile, and the happiness of youth. Cant beat that!

My favorite memory this year was on the Liberty, getting to watch my cousin experience cruising, and traveling out of the country, for the first time. Living through his eyes made the cruise feel almost like it was my first!

Thank you, I'm glad you liked them! Those photos were taken with an Olympus TG-3 Tough camera. I love it. It takes great underwater photos, is rated for a depth of 50 feet plus there is an optional dive rated housing available for up to 138 feet and it takes just as good photos out of the water too! Its my go to camera when I don't feel like carrying around my dSLR camera and gear.

My favorite cruise moment in 2015 was when we were in a taxi heading to the cruise port in NOLA, and I looked over to my left and saw the Dream's whale tail peaking out from above a building. This was my first ever cruise and my first glimpse of a cruise ship in real life. I will never forget that moment! It was love at first sight. [emoji7]
