beshears Posted January 23, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2016 Hello, I know your going to say, go to the St. Thomas area forum, but I can't seem to find the answer I want. :( We are on the AOTS the first part of April. One of the ports/islands will be St. Thomas. If you have been there within the past year and went to a beach (not for snorkelling) close by, which one was it? Did you see/do anything else that you would recommend there in St. Thomas?

Rare bobmacliberty Posted January 23, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 23, 2016 (edited) Coral World Ocean Park (with Sea Lion encounter) with Coki Point Beach nearby. We rented a car and drove. Easy to do. Edited January 23, 2016 by bobmacliberty
garnetpalmetto Posted January 23, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 23, 2016 Magen's Bay. It's a clean beach with beautiful, calm water. There's a snack shack on the beach with decent pizza and some (strong) rum drinks. Can't recommend it highly enough. If you go with the tour company I recommended in your previous thread (which has been relocated to the St. Thomas forum) you can easily ask Henry to take you there. Admission to the beach is $4.00 since it's a territorial park, but it's well worth it.
beshears Posted January 26, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted January 26, 2016 Cleara, thank you for those two websites that you gave me in regard to St. Thomas. I got some good information, and hopefully we can check out the Paradise Point Tramway. Do you know if that is within walking distance of Havensight, or has a beach close by? searoses Posted January 26, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 26, 2016 There are no beaches walkable from havensight....lots of cars and congestion in that area....some do take the hot walk into town....the cable car is close to town....a nice beach is less than 30 min in any direction by taxi.... beshears Posted January 30, 2016 Author #9 Share Posted January 30, 2016 Once again, thank you ALL for your postings. We heard about Magic Ice in St. Thomas, so we might be checking that out for one thing, as well as the Paradise Point Tram.
