Review of Glory from 1/23 Cruise

Hello All,

My wife and I were on the 1/23 Journeys cruise on the Glory. Thought I'd give a quick review. It was an awesome cruise and we met a ton of nice people, many of whom were doing back to back.

I've been on the Sunshine three times, the Breeze, and the Dream. I liked them all, and really liked the Glory. Why?

1) The comedy club layout was the best I've been on. If you don't like comedy, no big deal. I do and went to as many shows as I could. Even getting there right before show time, we got good seats. And maybe it was just this cruise but we didn't have to leave after every show.

2) maybe it was the type of crowd on this cruise, but the casino was less smokey than any ship I've been on. And that means a lot to me.

3) There was good seating along the window all the way down the promenade deck. May not be important but it was good to sit there some.

4) My wife loves the aft adult only pool on the lido deck. She was able to find a good seat anytime she went.

Other things: Service was good in the MDR. There was an issue early on with a weird cleaner smell in our room that they fixed quickly. Casino staff was excellent. I know some people say she's showing her age, but I didn't notice. But I wouldn't look for that type of stuff. The roof on the aft pool covers up, so at night if it's windy and raining, it's still usable.

There may be other small things I'm missing. But I recommend the Glory if you are having questions about her.

Thanks for your review, we are sailing on Glory in October so it's good to read positive reviews. My partner has previously only sailed with Princess so I'm a bit worried that he will be making unfavourable comparisons during my first ever cruise. I feel slightly reassured now.

Thank you for the information, we sail this coming Saturday 2/13/16! Exciting to hear great things so close to our trip.

Tell my daughter, Jordan (Entertainment Staff) hello for me. She would be thrilled to have someone come up to her to say hi from your Mom (Shirley). Miss her but love that she's being able to experience this - her father & I met while working on the Carnival Festivale many, many years ago.
