Ship's time?

We are going on a western Caribbean itinerary Roatan etc in June. Last time on NCL, they changed to local time every day of the cruise. Do they still do this?

RCI stays on departure port time aka ship's time.

No...not all the time. We have been on three NCL cruises where time was not set to match local time in all ports.

I sailed on the Dawn from New Orleans in January this year (2016) and we stayed on New Orleans time from start to finish. We never changed time at all even though port time was different.

In most cases they go with local time.

So if NCL.com says we are arriving in Cozumel at 11am.... That is 11 am local time? Someone help! I called NCL and they said it was 11 am Cozumel time but in my roll call someone said it was 11 am eastern time. Helllp!

Every NCL cruise I have been on the ship changed clocks to match local port.

When we were on the Dawn in November the ship time never changed. We stuck with New Orleans time. At our meet and great they said it was easier than changing the time 3 times

We sailed the dawn in November and never changed time. We are sailing the dawn again tomorrow and I'm hoping we don't change time then either

So, based on the posts, it could be home port or local time. :)

We are trying to book an excursion outside the cruise line (Cozumel food tour) that starts st 11 so we aren't sure if we can go. We need to know!

Cozumel is on Eastern Time Zone.
