I missed the upsell fairy phone call ...

I saw the Miami number flash on my caller ID but was unable to answer the call. I tried to return the call but I just got an automated answer that asked if I wanted to put the phone number who called me on a do not call list. Has this ever happened to anyone before? Do they usually call back again? Hoping for a good upgrade possibility. Thanks!

Very often they call to try and sell you travel insurance.

 

They will continue to go down the list and most likely not come back to you. Sorry there is always a next time

Sorry that you missed that phone call! Bummer. I missed mine last night too, except they called my husbands phone right after mine and I was able to score two upgrades. We originally had two side by side balconies booked for our upcoming cruise and was upgraded to two side by side suites! I would call carnival back and inquire about your missed call! Good luck!

my husband received a phone call at home offering a special upgrade without 12 hours of each other, about ~50 days out from our departure day; the woman from Carnival left her contact information on the voice message.

I've been called recently on both my Paradise Cruise next month and for my Conquest cruise in August....sadly neither offer was worth it :(. Both certainly cheaper than current rates for the upgrade, but only a slight discount and certainly not "too good to pass up"

I got a call last Friday for my august cruise. Was an upgrade from ocean view to balcony. It was cheaper than current rates so I took it!!

Uh, dumb question, here. How do you know that is who called if they didn't leave a message? Does your caller-id say something specific. Or did you recognize the number as Carnival.?

I'm not sure if the rules permit me to disclose that information? I will say that it wasn't a super fantastic deal but it was a few hundred less than the current rate and traveling with our two young kids (3&4) it made the most sense for us to snag the deal. Plus, opening up the divider on the two long balconies is a major plus for us!

We missed our call a few years back, but later that day we received an email with pictures of an upgrade offer. I called the number on the email and accepted the offer.

What does it say on the caller ID? I'm sailing out of NY. Would it be a NY number or is the Carnival Cruise Lines office in Miami. How am I supposed to know if they're calling me? I get so many prank callers and robo calls, I don't even answer the phone if I don't recognize the number anymore.

We got the call about 2 weeks ago for our 4/8 Sunshine cruise..$400 for an ocean suite from our Lido balcony.

If I remember correctly just an incoming call from 800 number.
