US Customs Sitka?

That is great. I was not looking to a long line to be checked on the ship. I remember a few times when I did a reverse NE/CA cruise, when we left Canada and arrive in Bar Harbor they would run all 3000 passengers though a dining room to show them your passports and be checked off a list. It took a couple of hours before we could get off the ship.

Were on ship out of Vancouver CA with the 1st stop in Sitka AK. Will US Customs come on the ship before we go ashore?

I ask because I've seen this take a lot of time before.

You will clear both customs and immigration before you board the ship in Vancouver. You will not see them again.
