irishayes Posted June 27, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 27, 2016 I know this is random, but I've sailed Celebrity a couple of times and have yet to find anywhere that serves chicken wings. Is there a place I've not discovered? We are sailing the Summit on January 7, 2017. Thanks for the info!
jenniebnyc Posted June 27, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 27, 2016 I believe you can order wings from the room service menu.
jelayne Posted June 27, 2016 #3 Share Posted June 27, 2016 I haven't seen them but I have never really looked.
neverbeenhere Posted June 27, 2016 #4 Share Posted June 27, 2016 (edited) most of the chickens on Celebrity are of the wingless variety. As it is always said... They used to have them once in a while. Edited June 27, 2016 by neverbeenhere
Wine-O Posted June 27, 2016 #5 Share Posted June 27, 2016 They had them on Summit out by the pool grill - they were at the end in a pan by the condiments. They weren't your typical "wings" - just wing drum sticks marinated.
cb at sea Posted June 27, 2016 #6 Share Posted June 27, 2016 Wings are not a cruise thing....they serve them, but not frequently or in excess. Eat a bunch before you board...and again when you're home! You'll be good to go!
Robbo61 Posted June 28, 2016 #7 Share Posted June 28, 2016 By the pool on Summit I recall as well. Best Wings I've come across were on Norwegian in Blue Lagoon
irishayes Posted June 28, 2016 Author #8 Share Posted June 28, 2016 I know it's random, but with ALL the foods they serve on a cruise line, it just seems odd that you can't find a chicken wing . . .
WestLakeGirl Posted June 28, 2016 #9 Share Posted June 28, 2016 Wings are far too downmarket for their "modern luxury" facade
irishayes Posted June 28, 2016 Author #10 Share Posted June 28, 2016 Further downmarket than a hot dog? Sent from my SM-N915V using Tapatalk
flyingv4me Posted June 28, 2016 #11 Share Posted June 28, 2016 Can you imagine the amount of bones they'd have to deal with? I suspect that may be part of why you don't see them much. Just a thought.
irishayes Posted June 28, 2016 Author #12 Share Posted June 28, 2016 Ah, never gave that a thought. I'll bet you're right. Sent from my SM-N915V using Tapatalk
love2driveinct Posted June 28, 2016 #13 Share Posted June 28, 2016 (edited) On the Millennium right now and just checked the room service menu -- no wings. I can say with a good degree of confidence that there haven't been any wings in the buffet, either, because my kids would have been in heaven if there were. Not sure about the pool grill -- we haven't eaten there yet because it's closed a lot of the time due to weather.
