cruisegal2012Caribbean Posted July 22, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 22, 2016 Can anyone tell me what is the latest time you can get off Pride of America on the last day (disembarkation)? The ship arrives at 7am at port. The Roberts Hawaii shuttle pick ups are 9am and 10:15am. I would prefer to get off the ship later because we have later flight. If we do 10:15am will we be sitting outside at the curb waiting on the shuttle? Norwegian Rep said she thinks everyone has to be off by 9am. Thank you! Sauer-kraut Posted July 22, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2016 10 o'clock will be pushing it, usually by that time they are commanding everyone should be off the ship. I would say book the 10:15 because you'll still have to get your luggage from the terminal and walk to wherever the pick up point is.
casofilia Posted July 22, 2016 #3 Share Posted July 22, 2016 I don't know specifically the times for the PoA but, in general, NCL wants the staterooms vacated by 9am, so the stewards can get on with all the arrangements that they have to do, and the ship cleared by 10am, so all the paperwork can be completed before they start embarkation about 11.30am. dexddd Posted July 22, 2016 #4 Share Posted July 22, 2016 From our experience in March, 9 a.m. is pretty much it. We were some of the last folks off and they are pretty much getting everyone off by then.
tempus137 Posted July 22, 2016 #5 Share Posted July 22, 2016 We had the same situation last December. When you get off the ship, there is an independent luggage storage in the terminal ($5 a bag). There was also someone hawking a free shuttle to the Ala Moana mall. The catch was that they took you to a jeweler first, then to the mall. We checked out a couple of stores, had lunch at the food court & then caught the shuttle back to the pier. We got our bags back & took a taxi to the airport. eyemd1 Posted July 23, 2016 #6 Share Posted July 23, 2016 What are the options for a family of 3 from pier to airport? Cheapest?
luv261vaca Posted August 14, 2016 #7 Share Posted August 14, 2016 We got off the POA at 9 am and had a 10:15 am shuttle to the airport booked through Roberts of Hawaii. The cost was very reasonable. We were one of the last off the ship. We picked up our luggage and checked in with the Robert's agent. We waited inside the terminal for approx 25-30 minutes and were on the shuttle to the airport before 10 am. We were very pleased with the shuttle service. The driver gave us a nice narration as he drove.
Vinnyv20032003 Posted August 15, 2016 #8 Share Posted August 15, 2016 Can anyone answer the earliest time you could disembark from POA? I assume it's before 7am, if most of the ship is off by 9am. I would really appreciate some insight, unfortunately we will be looking to get off as early as we can that morning.
luv261vaca Posted August 15, 2016 #9 Share Posted August 15, 2016 If you carryoff your own luggage, the estimated earliest time to debark was 7:15 am. If you want NCL to handle your luggage, then be sure to get the luggage tag for the earliest debark time (7:45 am). The luggage tags were distributed on a first come first serve basis at guest services a couple of days before the end of the cruise.

Thank you for your first Cruise Critic post. Please do not bump 7 year old, dead threads. If you have a question, just start a new post with your question. The problem with bumping a 7-year-old thread is that the information in the thread is out of date and inaccurate and causes confusion by anyone reading it.
