Buying the package IS the discount from paying individual drink prices.

Or, find a TA that throws in the drink package as part of the deal. Good Luck with this one though.

No, there are no discounts for a drink package with Carnival. Other lines are now offering free drink packages (and they are not limited like Carnival) so if you want to choose another line, you could get free drinks! But if you are already booked, there is no discount that you will receive for the Cheers package.

The closest you can come to a discount is to pre-purchase the Cheers package. It is $5 per day less than if you purchase on board.

Or buy it once aboard with discount gift cards. Verizon, AARP, Citi and a few others offer 10% with points. You can't combine the two though as you can't use gift cards to purchase anything from Bon Voyage pre cruise.

Well scratch that, they change the wording today. You can prepurchase with gift cards but you have to call in.
