Yes, Hum, we too enjoyed the week in the villa followed by yet another on Sea Dream. A little different experience which we may want to do again.

Looking forward to St. Barths on the 5th of February and again on our second leg. You are spot on re Nikki Beach ... not putting it down, but its an age thing you know. We are more than content with Cheval Blanc and our new little find, La Gloriette in Grand Cul-de-Sac ... our feet in the sand, good wine and grilled lobster, followed by a dip on their beach in front of the restaurant. Tony, at Le Guanahani always takes good care of us, too.

Get a table near the water and he'll put a chaise aside for you to relax in

after lunch.

So disappointed that our ships won't cross paths this year, unless you can

pull some sway. We're going over to St. Vincents from Bequia to visit old

friends of ours who have a beautiful home on the water. Will make a nice diversion.

Anyway, we'll talk and text across the bows in Febraury. We can't wait!

Love to the Mrs.

The Vice Admiral (thought I would skip over a rank) :)

Happy New Year Mr. Hum,

Your Nikki Beach story brings back wonderful memories. Champagne and lobster are our favorite pastime for a romantic lunch while relaxing in front of the white sand, turquoise seas, and watching all of those near naked bodies. Always a fun afternoon. "Less is more" when at Nikki Beach ;-)

There were "near naked bodies" there !

How did Hum miss that ??

Oh it was such fun........loved it.

Highlight of the "off the ship" voyage.

Made Hum begin contemplating a life of the "lotus eater".

Hum already loved St. Barts thanks to Commander Courageous & Abenaki showing Hum the sights when renting a villa with them.

We are renting a villa again this year with three Dutch boys and Hum can't wait.

So we will be returning to "NB".

Hum has been invited to previous party places and has always declined but this has got Hum re-thinking about it.

The chums we met for lunch want to do "Nikki Beach" with us, as do the two couples from Britain (and also on SDI).

And the British couple want us to go to St.Tropez, Club 55 etc.. in the summer.

We met a Belgian couple a few years ago who have been begging us to go the Ibiza with them.

And the senior officer on SD insists we join him in a ski resort in Switzerland for the parties in the winter.

So the possibilities are endless.

Oh and who mentioned the "Burning Man" festival in the US ?

The words of Timothy Leary echo in Hum's head:

"Turn on, tune in and drop out"

"But its such a vacuous life Hum"

Yeah, great isn't it.

And a very Happy New Year to you too dear Contessa.

Hum wishes your future President and wonderful country, all the best.

Remember the Brits are behind you (way, way behind in the bomb shelter).

Hum hears that "Mariah Carey" is unexpectedly free for Donald's inauguration party.

A lot in common between Donald and Maria.

Both had mic issues !

But seriously "God bless America".

Events in Britain, the US and the start of things in Europe show the people want change and the old politicians need to go.

Their "ways" are now an anathema.

Personally Hum believes in benevolent dictatorships.

Hum waits "in the wings" if the people call.

But maybe a life of loving life with fellow gentle party goers may prove too much.

The fate of the world but Hum prefers wine, one woman and song.

"Rock And Roll All Nite"

You show us everything you've got

You keep on dancing and the room gets hot

You drive us wild, we'll drive you crazy

You say you wanna go for a spin

The party's just begun, we'll let you in

You drive us wild, we'll drive you crazy

You keep on shouting, you keep on shouting

I wanna rock and roll all night and party every day

I wanna rock and roll all night and party every day

I wanna rock and roll all night and party every day

I wanna rock and roll all night and party every day

You keep on saying you'll be mine for a while

You're looking fancy and I like your style

You drive us wild, we'll drive you crazy

You show us everything you've got

Baby, baby that's quite a lot

And you drive us wild, we'll drive you crazy

You keep on shouting, you keep on shouting

I wanna rock and roll all night and party every day

I wanna rock and roll all night and party every day

I wanna rock and roll all night and party every day

I wanna rock and roll all night and party every day

You keep on shouting, you keep on shouting

I wanna rock and roll all night and party every day

I wanna rock and roll all night and party every day

I wanna rock and roll all night and party every day

I wanna rock and roll all night and party every day

I wanna rock and roll

And to think, we felt bad enough fixing a $75 prime rib for the two of us (three if you count the "pony") and washing it down with a $100 bottle of cabernet on New Years eve. Think of the starving children...

Speaking of the pony, he got a new toy for Christmas (purloined from the Toys for Tots barrel outside the orphanage...):

Cute, very cute.

Wise words, wise words.

The rise up the ranks was long overdue but two promotions in two days !

Obviously it's your year.

Soon Mr.Trump will hear about your blossoming talent and will want you on his team.

What position do you see yourself in ?

Ambassador in St.Barts perhaps ?

Remember ol' Hum for a position.

Nothing too strenuous.

Hum knew marijuana was legalised in your state some years ago but Hum didn't know they had legalised LSD too !

Either that or you have become addicted to the hallucinogenic side effects from the painkillers prescribed for your knee.

PS Still no clue who the person or group is that wrote "I wanna rock and roll" though. Kiss ?

Hey Jim,

Do you see Hum at Jost van Dyke from the "Soggy Dollar" webcam ?

Do you see the tall, bronzed guy, looking toned with bikini clad models draped around his arms getting admiring looks ?

Well Hum, is just behind him.

Yes the one looking very white, with a paunch, bald, long brown shorts and a grey string vest.......quite alone.

Oh now Hum has had sand kicked in his face.

Yes now running down the beach with shoes being thrown at him by an angry mob.

Help Jim !

That is a LONG line for painkillers on the webcam. SD looks great in the background. Enjoy the day

You 'orrible lot !

Hum can't open these ruddy videos onboard.

Guess you're talking about Jimi ("Dazed & Confused").

Brilliant live Rolling Stones concert onboard last night.

"Gimme shelter" was best version ever heard.

Music at TOYB has been amazing.

Check out "Cafe del Mar": Balearic chill out instrumental.

Quite a few "Casualties" ?

Getting them in the zodiacs and putting "jackets" on them then getting out !

Took forever.

A lot of "no shows" for dinner too.

But a heck of a lot of fun.
