Well, GCMC and Ho Hum, just what article/s of curiosity might you be referencing?

As the Don said, "I assure you I have no problem in that area"!

Have we sunk to a new low of insults here?

The "offence" is Hum's and Hum's alone.

Hum seized on GCMV's mis-spelling of "curious" (he is from "Merkel-land") so he can be forgiven.

The dastardly comment was simply Hum's perverse way of endearing himself to you.

So there you have it dearest chum.

Hum was on his way to a wine bar in London with a posh chum when we passed a beggar sitting on a dirty blanket with a dog and no shoes (the beggar....not the dog, had no shoes).

Hum dropped a few coins in his cup.

Hum's chum was outraged and said:

"You know they're just going to spend it on drink and drugs ?"

Well what do you think we are about to spend it on ? .....drink that is

Over my life I've spent half my money on women and booze... and wasted the rest.

Haha

Did you know Jim used to be known as Phil ?

Someone onboard told me.

Oh and his surname was Anderer.

Best keep it between ourselves though......he can get a bit "touchy" about it.

Yes it was a long while ago.

Then he met his lovely lady, turned his life around and started calling himself Jim.

Funny world ain't it.......from Phil Anderer to "Lucky" Jim Avery !

And Hum also heard you were also known as Phil

Phil Edward to be precise.

And that your surname was Stein.

Phil E Stein

Funny thing, the Contessa was used to be called Philomena Orphelia.

She hated it and called herself Phil O instead.

Oh she was really people in her day with the boys (and still is).

Her surname Menarounder.

Phil O Menarounder

And the generous Commander was also called Phil

Phil Andy actually.

His surname was Thropic.

Phil Andy Thropic

Hum used to be called Phil too.

And his surname came from the Irish side of the family: O'Sheet.

Many say they always remember Hum by his early name for some reason.

Strange world.

Do you have any original names of chums ?

Oh don't worry about it Baron, the Commander loves the attention.....

Yes abuse ol' Hum as much as you like dear Baron.

"terms of Endearent, terms of endearment" dear chum

Always??? And you can't avoid cruising together with hum??? ;):D

Well YOU have managed to avoid Hum for quite a while !!

Your luck will run out one day !!!

Hum's beginning to feel slighted, Baron.

Yes you are younger than Hum, with an abundance of energy (must be all that bratwurst !) and there's so much of the world to see but when there comes a time you just want to relax in sunnier climates, remember old Sea Dream, dearest chum.

Love to the Baronness (and Angela)

We have developed an affinity for large, loud, aromatic, and hairy men with beautiful better halves.:D

"Aromatic" ?

Hum's not a ruddy herb !!

Trump is a bit ginger though.

Was the word you were looking for "charismatic" ?

You're right about the better halves though but it seems we are both blessed that way.

Thank heavens for Blondie's low self-esteem !!

Otherwise it would be "heave Ho Hum" !

All this talk of "Large Gropes" on SD (yes, deliberate).

It is a kind of hell.

Imagine first day of boarding.

It could possibly go like this ........ later the Club Director advises the toilets are not working either !

Now that Zimmy and I have moved out of our vacation home (SD1), I can jump back into idle jottings. My condolences, Jim, for what you had to endure at the BCS. I can't imagine what it must feel like to back the sure-thing favorite for the whole season, and then have the rug pulled out from under you at the last second. Oh, maybe I can.

Hum, we have booked the first cruise after New Year's 2018 on SD2. Will you be jumping aboard or staying on SD1?

Hum

Some of us Yanks would LOVE it if our "news" was all about cats up trees, drunks doing drunk things, cake baking contests...oh so refreshing. (No Streep's, Gaga's, Kardasian's,etc.!!) This is what our escape on SD is for!

Hum's pleased you enjoyed the photo.........it took Hum quite a bit of time finding the right cats for the parts, training them, motivating them, building the set and taking the photos .......but dearest Contessa, you are so worth it !

This is probably the Commander's true spirit........but he is a real "pussy cat" (ocassionally a "grumpy" one).

Yes, Commander can be a bit harsh at times. I am trying to soften him up a bit. He does have an elegant writing style which intrigues Contessa.

And...for the record, Contessa would never consider dating Donald, ever. She may have voted for him, but I prefer a more polished gentleman with a great mind and strength. Hence my T-Rex

Dearest Portofino, you little mynx!

T-Rex .... I fancied you more the Mike Pompeo type. Strong military

bearing and the ability to hold secrets. Just the type of guy you'll

need if Mrs. Tillerson learns of your romantic interests.

Don't worry, I won't spill the beans when I next run into him at

Augusta National.

Ah, the strong military type. Yes, a certain General S (now deceased :( but loved a special ski resort in CO also meets my expectations. Secrets are always of the utmost importance.

Mrs. T-Rex need not worry, because Contessa never shares and loyalty is of utmost importance to her. Just ask my ex..LOL!

When you are playing Augusta or enjoying the Masters up close and personal, please tell Jack it's me. I spent a lot of time on that driving range in FL and those greens are a Bear to putt on.

You are softening ;-)

What ?

You and Sea Dream have come to expect quite a lengthy and detailed review from Hum aint you ?

Well, Hum completed one (went on for ages it did !) but he didn't submit it !

Why ?

Hum had a "hissy fit" !

Then he "threw all his toys out the pram too" !

Now Hum is still sulking.

Yes, isn't it very childish ?

The names of out-standing crew were added, so it wasn't that horrible of Hum but the rest of the non-completion and scoring was ....... err shall we say for "tactical" / "political" reasons to send out a message to the Mr. SD himself.

And of course, it means absolutely nuffin'.

Oh woe is Hum.

Hum MAY be onboard SDI for New Years 2018 and probably SDII for the next week: we then may do a week in Mustique for the third week.

Having your good self and Zimmy onboard SDII would certainly be an inducement !

SDI is now fully booked for New Year and there is a "waiting list" which now requires to be accompanied with a deposit.

We have some friends from Atlanta who want to come (mutual friends of Jim).

But Hum is still fuming that SD chartered SDII for New Year.

It is a disgrace.

Don't talk to Hum about "business being business" !

It is plain wrong.

So Hum decided not to do SD at all at New Years and looked forward to a castle on the west coast of Ireland instead where we are going this week as a matter of fact (Ashford Castle).

The sun bathing is not quite the same as in the Caribbean but Hum loves all things Irish (except the divisive politics and religious sectarianism of a very small minority).

Others have manipulated and piled the pressure on Hum to join them on SDI for New Year.

There were 3 couples on SDI this New Year whom we met up with: one came over for lunch and we met the other two couples at "Nikki Beach" and they all want to do it again with us next year as does Blondie.

Now Hum popped over to SDI to check it out.

It has been quite a while since we sailed on SDI.

And Hum was mighty impressed too.

Hum also has to take into account who is Captain and Hotel Manager.

For Hum, the combination and persons are vital.

Hum hates the swopping of Captains and the change this creates to the onboard "feel".

Hum also favours a certain Hotel Manager too.

So we may do a week on SDI followed by a week on SDI especially if our Atlanta chums can get on too.

Another factor is the ease of flying to the country where the ship docks and flying out too. This coming year it is in and out of Barbados for both ships (on our possible planned trip). This would avoid the US and all that that entails. What will border controls be like under Trump though ?

And as we found out on the last trip, most of the East coast had weather issues causing delays (even in Atlanta and Florida).

So to FINALLY answer your question TrapperZ.

So there is a possibility.......a real possibility.

Hum has just learnt that there is no SDII charter planned for New Year 2019 but in the back of your mind there is always the uncertainty you could be "bumped off" !

Now don't be late for that inauguration !

Hum hears there are some obscure musicians playing.......certainly Hum has never heard of them before.

Bigly, I love it when you say Bigly. Must be the Brit accent......

Haha

What's your experience about leaving "Schittolla" ?

But going to bed now, it's 11.45pm in "Blighty"

Hum will post his "Guest Voyage Review" tomorrow!
