cruisin4thedeepblue Posted September 24, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 24, 2016 Hi, there will be four of us arriving at San Francisco Airport at 11:00 am We need to get to our hotel in Fishermans Wharf area. Is it better to book a shuttle or just try and get a taxi that will be able to take the four of us. Thanks
CruiserBruce Posted September 24, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 24, 2016 Shuttle, taxi, or, probably the best idea, UberXL all are viable options.

Note most of our taxis are "green" so they'll be the size of a Prius or Ford Fusion. If you get a Crown Victoria, buy a lottery ticket ;) Then there's Lyft and Uber. Bruin Steve Posted September 24, 2016 #4 Share Posted September 24, 2016 Super Shuttle will do a "nonstop van" for $75 plus tip...(A shared shuttle for four is $68)... I would probably do that before a taxi since it's a fixed price...no surprises...AND because it will be a roomy van... If you are comfortable with Uber, Uber XL should be $45-60, UberSUV about $85...but, depending on when you're arriving, you could get hit with "Surge Pricing"--another big variable... Yeah, a taxi would be about $60 plus a tip...but, you may not find one big enough for four and luggage...

The Super shuttle sounds fine and we can reserve it too Thanks again
TruckerDave Posted September 27, 2016 #6 Share Posted September 27, 2016 There is always the BART and F line option. Airport to FW area for about $11 per person and no sitting in traffic.
Rare Keith1010 Posted September 27, 2016 #7 Share Posted September 27, 2016 All good options. We also use a private service which is a subsidiary of super shuttle called execucar. http://www.execucar.com Our son and daughter in law used UBER and was very pleased. Grant2000 Posted October 18, 2016 #8 Share Posted October 18, 2016 The Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) service would take you from SFO Airport to Embarcadero Station but you'd probably have to catch a cab from there to the San Francisco Cruise Port. Otherwise, the walk is approximately 1.3 miles. http://cruiseports.ca/america/san-francisco.html
