Riviera cabin 7075, any noise problems from bars below?

I am booked in cabin 7075 on Riviera, outside on deck 7. This cabin appears to be right above a bar, either MArtinis or Grand Bar, hard to tell exactly. Is there likely to be noise from music coming up through the floor at night time? I had a very bad experience on my last cruise on a Princess ship where I was in a suite located on top of a night club. The pounding music came through the floor and went till 1:00am every night. I got almost no sleep for 7 days and it put a very negative damper on the while cruise.

There are very few outside cabins on Riviera and they are all on top of the bars and casino on deck 6. Any suggestions of the quietest of the deck 7 outside cabins?

Unless we missed something, all of the cabins on deck 7 are outside cabins. If you google Oceania Riviera deck plans you can see exactly what is where.

If you meant that as a possible negative, we read in Riviera B4 cabin reviews that the laundry on deck 7 is entered on the port side. You should be on the starboard side, which may result in less commotion/noise in your passageway.

ahhhh, sorry... im going to be on the marina.

i just replied to this thread instead of starting my own because i was curious about noise in general.

both O class ships are the same layout

You could go to the review section here on CC & see if anyone has posted a review on the cabin number

I don't think the original question was answered. Has anyone experienced excessive noise coming from Deck 6? This will be our 17th O cruise and it's never been a problem, but we have never been in a C cabin on an O ship. We will be moving into 7075 a week from tomorrow so I am curious. Thanks.

Riviera,,Martinis is where we spent every evening. The pianist finished around 9.30-10 pm at the latest. We were two of about 8 maximum after that so I can't believe it will be a problem.

But I know what it's like under noise. We had a balcony cabin in Princess, great position in mid ship top cabin deck, but we were under the 24hr lido deck, self service restaurant. The scraping of the chairs is like torture. We eventually ( after a bit of a row) moved to aft and paid a little more for it.It was heaven and we had a very different cruise from then on.

Always, always check out the position of the cabin before you book. That can make the difference for us on whether we book a cruise or not.Selfservice restaurants are a definite no no,when you think how many times a chair is moved before dinner is served and from then on by one person getting up and down..

If you could report back here after you have occupied 7075 I would be most appreciative.

Deck 7 is kind of unique. The balconies stop mid ship for a while (I'm guessing due to the type of lifeboat below them on deck 6). 7075 is one of those cabins that is 'oceanview' but no balcony. We're booked a little farther aft over the Casino Bar, hopefully not too rowdy too late.
