Holland America FINALLY banning smoking on balconies

According to an article in USA Today, Holland America is finally joining the ranks of other cruise lines and banning smoking on balconies! This is a change that will surely please many.

I was speaking about myself being a non-smoker, and now being guaranteed to be able to enjoy my balcony without pollution from the other sides. We actually started cruising NCL partially due to having cigar smoke wafting over on two cruises.

If you head over to the smoking policy thread (http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2084364) you'll find that this change in policy has already been discussed at great length.

Old News! It was announced Sept 29..You might ask that it be combined with the smoking thread, but perhaps just the announcement should be made a sticky.. There are almost 10 pages just discussing this new policy on the smoking thread..

 

That might be a good decision on the part of CC Management..
