mushroom Posted November 3, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2016 Do you have any idea what hotel Uniworld uses in Bucharest? We want to go a few days early and would love to avoid having to move prior to joining the Uniworld group. Thank you.

HDS Posted November 4, 2016 #3 Share Posted November 4, 2016 Eight years ago it was a large chain hotel a longish walk from the city centre. Well appointed bedrooms, insufficient dining options for the whole boatload, most of whom wanted to eat in the hotel but not room service. Nothing in the surrounding streets. Why not ask Uniworld? mushroom Posted November 6, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted November 6, 2016 Actually I did contact Uniworld and was told that they use several hotels in Bucharest. The agent seemed to think the Radisson Blu might be the one for my trip, but it's not certain. I would be happy with Marriott...but understand that Radisson Blu is also excellent. I appreciate your replies to me.

Rare FlyerTalker Posted November 7, 2016 #7 Share Posted November 7, 2016 If you have either Marriott or Starwood points, the JW Marriott in Bucharest is a complete steal for an award stay. Noted by Gary Leff at THIS LINK.

IMO, JWs come in better than any Blu I've experienced.
suspaul Posted November 10, 2016 #9 Share Posted November 10, 2016 We traveled with Viking and stayed at the Radisson Blu in Bucharest, nice hotel, we were pleased. We did walk around the area but for the city tours and others we were taken by bus until we embarked on our ship.
